My gorgeous girl has started to follow the "Feed, Play, Sleep" pattern of her own accord over the past few days. I'm much more in tune to her sleepy signs (rather than feeding her to sleep which is what we had been doing- I do offer her boobie just to make sure she isn't hungry before she goes over to sleep but she has been refusing) and I wrap her then put her in her pram/cot (depending on which nap and where we are etc).
My concern is that she is a bit grizzly initially when I put her down (cries for like, 15-30 seconds) but she settles herself really quickly once she realises that she can go to sleep.
Would you consider this "crying it out"? I am totally freaked by the thought of letting a baby cry and refuse to do it. The thing is, she is grizzly in my arms anyway and doesn't actually fall asleep that way - she'll only sleep when you put her down.
