How is it that DD can remember a random milk bar where we stopped for an ice cream ONCE, about six months ago, but can't remember where she put her shoes??
Why is it that DS1 knows the exact pitch at which to whinge, that pitch that grates on our nerves as soon as he opens his mouth?
How is it that DS2 can understand "Go and get your shoes and sit down on the floor so I can put them on for you" but can't understand "Please don't yell at me."
Ahh, these are the mysteries that I have pondered today.
How about you? What are you faced with that makes you wonder?
How can my fruit bowl be empty yet again?! I feel like I live at the green grocers - where do 2 little girls put so much fruit?! Oh, that's not a mystery, I know where it ends up - as great fibre
Why don't my kids eat the lovely healthy homage food I give them and pull strange faces but will quite happily vacuum up any object questionable up off the ground
why did we try to TT for 6 months with no success, but the second we went to Nanas house you were a big girl and used the toilet 100%?
How can you not realise that mummy saying calmly 'inside voice. quietly please. We dont shout inside." turns into "Hey, I asked you to keep the noise down. Thats One. When I get to Three, we wont be watching tv tonight. Now quietly please" and then "THATS IT! JUST STOP THE SILLY NOISE! NOW GO PLAY OUTSIDE!" if you persist in going "eeeeeEEEEeeeeeeEEEEEEeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeee ee" like a TV test pattern every waking moment
