My 18 month old DS has hidden my car/house keys somewhere today and I have no idea where to find them I have literally look everywhere its amazing what they can do in a couple seconds alone

This got me thinking where's the weirdest place your toddler has placed something?

Great thread! I'm currently searching for a DVD we borrowed from the library.....

It may not be a weird place, but one day I found one of DD1s cow toys sitting on the middle ledge of our bedroom window looking outside....not sure how long it was there for....

Haha not the weirdest place, but gross! My DD threw my phone in the toilet... Was less than impressed with her that day!
Talk about conversation going down the gurgler! Yep. Literally!

I've been hunting for one of DD2's bottles since late yesterday and found it today down the side of her older sister's bed. The other week she put one of our cordless phones inside a carry on suitcase DH had left out after a business trip.

Both my girls love to put things in bags so if anything goes missing, I check all their handbags and backpacks first

I always used to find things in shoes or in the trailers of DS's trucks (he had an obsession with trailers).

I've found a bath toy boat in my work bag which is normally in the car. was a pleasant little surprise when I was unpacking stuff at work and discovered it.

DD2 use to put things in her nappy, mostly little toys. Okay when it was just wet, not so good when it was messed.

My little dog (gosh I miss her) was an inside dog and use to hide her dog biscuits in our shoes,

I've gone to cook dinner and found toys in the pantry! Also went to give the dog a scoop of biscuits and he almost got some matchbox cars with them so I looked in the bag and there was about 8 cars and trucks in there lol also found coloured pencils in the cutlery thing of the dishwasher

Hehehe. My DS put a plastic letter A from an activity table in a large box. DH had bought a rangehood and got as far as opening the box. It sat there for a few a good 6 months before it was finally installed. I had been searching for that "A" for months. DH didn't see it when he took the rangehood out of the box. For some reason, I looked in the box even though I thought it was empty and there it was!

DS had a plastic set of golf clubs and once hid my iPhone in the caddy (on silent of course so I couldn't hear it ring).

We searched for days but of course it was the only place we didn't look. It wasn't until he had a play date a few days later and his little friend tipped out the clubs that we found it.

We lost our tv remote for three weeks (annoying!) and ds had put it in dh's work bag, which apparently he 'checked' but we discovered it eventually.

Behind the bed head is a common place, and in dress up bags which then get put away into the toy trunk.

DS used to hide things in shoes too. The number of times I screamed, thinking there was a mouse or some kind of creature inside...!

Now he prefers bags or boxes. And usually its kitchen utensils that get hidden... Thing is, he knows exactly what he's put where, even if it was weeks ago...

Rohan had a stage of putting things in the bin. Including my phone that I didn't realise until it was too late & it went out with the main weekly rubbish collections. He also likes to store things in the oven (including the new phone lol) but I hardly use the oven & always check!

Buster used to love putting things in either the toilet or the bin. Now his fave place is the dirty laundry hamper, I find all kinds of things in amongst the clothes! Just today he popped his afternoon tea in plus some crayons

Moo is almost 4 now but he used to like hiding things in odd places, a bunch of wet wipes shoved inbetween golden books is a memorable one. He would also hide his toast and dig it out later. Now he likes putting things in car trailers or train carriages.

This is on topic for me ATM lol.

I have looked all day for my (rather large) yellow tape measure....found it on a DD2 level shelp in the pantry tonight.
Have been looking for over 6 months for a set of shed keys - found them when I did a bathroom cabinet clean out the other day riiiight at the back

Currently can't find my sunglasses. Heaven only knows where DD2 has stashed them.
