Smile food for 2nd Birthday party HELP please

DS's 2nd Birthday Party is in a few weeks,

We will have access at the park/beach to a BBQ so I was thinking of easy sausages on rolls, onions etc.

but I will be taking the rest of the food down there ( by car) and setting up a few extra tables to go with the ones at the park already.

    What food would be best?

Considering it will not be Hot unless on the BBQ ( or heated on the BBQ) and will have to be enough for about 25 people. Including kids

    My ideas are :
Fruit dipped in choc , chilled
    Mini quiches
Biscuits ( I will be making CAR biscuits)
    Chips/ dip/ cheeses etc
    Cupcakes
    The sausages on BBQ
    Fairy bread
    Jelly cups
Mini sandwiches with cheese, Devon, ham, egg etc TWO LOAVES ? Is that enough?

And the birthday cake of course and plenty of lollies
If everyone just adds one idea.....

I'll have a whole lots more ideas : ROFL:

finger noms, like cheese cubes, little chunks of kabana, cherry tomatoes, slices of apple, mandarin segments (pip free), carrot chunks ...

chocolate spiders are also a total winner, if you can keep the adults away from them (crisp noodles, chocolate and peanut butter)! Though some people would steer estremely clear of anything with nuts, these days ...

chocolate crackles are always a winner.

and lots of wet ones, for sticky fingers.

if you find the right crispy noodles, the instructions are on the back

but from memory, for every pack of noodles, you use 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, and about a block of compound chocolate, I think ...

and yes, I was thinking honey joys, but wasn't sure whether they'd be ok, in warm weather?

Well I am about to have a 1st birthday party (SO excited ) and this is what I;m doing: it's at 3pm so snacks but not full on lunch

    cake (obviously)
    butterfly cupcakes
finger sandwiches (i think chicken and egg mayonnaise)
    cornflake mini golden syrup thingy's
mini zuchini frittata (done in mini muffin pan)
    fruit platter
vege platter with hummus and sour cream/chives dip
    mini baby friendly banana muffins
    mini sausage rolls

    champagne and soft drinks

sounds pretty much the same as you but without the bbq. Have a look at taste.com.au finger foods section. I got some ideas from here for the finger sandwich fillings and the sausage rolls and it might give you inspiration.

Good luck and hope you have a great party!!
