    Food for Baby Shower

I am currently 20weeks Pg and I am hosting a baby shower for my friend who is about 30 weeks.
I want to be sure all the food I make for the baby shower is safe for us both to eat but still interesting for the other 20 or so people who are coming.
I am quite tired with this pg so I wasn't going to make everything.
I was wondering of party pies and the mixed chinese entree things would be OK?
It's quite cold here and the party is in the evening so I'm trying to do a sort of finger food dinner......
I was also planning to make mini spinach and pumpkin quiches (mostly cause there's heaps of spinach and pumpkin in the vege patch)
    Any other easy ideas?
Any warnings for "don't eat it while you're pg?"

They all sound good (and yummy!) Dont be surprise at how fast the party pies go!

Things I won't eat whilst pregnant include the coleslaw and potato salad you buy at the supermarket or deli. I like to make all salad myself. I think most of the dips you buy in sealed packets should be OK though (again, I dont buy from a deli as I never know how long they've been sitting there).

A great idea for a winter party is to make a big batch of roast pumpkin soup. We do it in the slow cooker. We then just lift the ceramic bowl out, put it on the table (with a heat protector mat underneath) and pile small bowls or cups next to it. People can ladle their own. It's not quite finger food, but it goes down a treat, especially if you have a big plate of freashly heated dinner rolls to accompany.

Maybe cut up some vegetable sticks with dip. Safe cheeses include hard cheese and pasteurised goats cheese.

Another easy winter idea is to make mini maccoroni and cheese bakes. You make it up as per normal, then pour into muffin tins and bake. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper and serve on a platter.

    Now I'm getting hungry

ETA: dont forget the cakey things! Mini jellies, mixed berries, muffins etc are all quite easy to organise. Or buy a cake.
