    Ideas for 2nd birthday cake

DD turns 2 in March and I don't know what cake to make her this year. Last year we did in the night garden, she loves the show, and it was a big hit. She's a big fan of Elmo at the moment, but I'm not sold on the idea yet.

    What did you do?

DD1 had a Winnie the Pooh cake for her 2nd birthday, she wasn't overly fussed with what sort of cake she had. Not sure what we'll do for DD2's 2nd birthday, it's not til September so I've still got time.

My son was (and still is) a massive fan of guitars (Daddy plays, and Benjamin was given a little yellow one for Christmas prior to his birthday His bithday is in April).

I made a replica of his yellow guitar!

A hungry caterpillar one would be good, made with cupcakes......

You got me thinking of what cake K should have & think i'm going to do a Nemo one.
She loves Nemo at the moment.

Anybody got any ideas or pictures of a nemo cake they have done.

Sorry MG for stealing your thread

Steal away, Mo, we're in exactly the same boat here!

Thanks for the ideas and for sharing the photos!

I LOVE the idea of the very hungry caterpillar cake. She has the enormous plush caterpillar, so maybe I'll give that a shot! Thanks everyone!

Ohhh clever girls, i cheated and had DD1's made
I think the hungry caterpillar would be cute, or you could do a pretty garden cake.. the options are endless hun.. i've seen your cupcakes (which by the way i think were fabulous) you could make a small garden cake surrounded by cupcakes with butterfly's etc

I did 'where is the green sheep' cupcakes for DS 1st birthday, as it was the only thing he was really interested in. I saw a great link today that had ideas for a 'hungary caterpillar' party, and also for a sesame street theme.. will have to see if I can find them again.
