Smile Nibble ideas for my body shop party..

    Hi everyone!

I'm hosting a body shop party tomorrow for our mothers group.

Just hoping some of you can inspire me with afternoon tea ideas?

I'm trying to avoid the usual, you know, the kids birthday party foods, sausage rolls pies, cheerios, etc, yuck yuck yuck.

So far I have two ideas (woo!)
1- those biscuits, ginger nuts moulded into little cups (in the oven for 5 min to mould them), filled with a teaspoon of caramel, followed by a teaspoon of thickened cream... Nom nom nom

2- a sandwich with Shaved ham and cheese (Philly cheese mixed with garlic and chives). -has anyone made these before? I had them at an old friends house once, can't remember how much garlic and chives to add?

    Thanks!
    Love tellytubby x

Ooooo yes please!! DH suggested a cob this morning actually, but I've never made one before, so a little worried it'll turn out crap. Let me know how it's done thanks babe x

Loving the mini meatball idea too fleur! Thanks! Anyone cooked meat balls in the oven? I normally make them in the pan, and they're normally rissoles, ha. But the oven would be more convenient, as I wouldn't have to worry about the mess as my guests are arriving..

    TIA xx

you could make the meatballs earlier & then just reheat them in the oven? or at least start them in the pan & then finish them in the oven.

are mini quiches too much like party food? i make my own & people seem to really like them. they're easy too because you can cook them earlier & reheat them.
individual nachos - a corn chips (or a tortilla baked in the oven) topped with some homemade salsa
if there won't be any kids eating, then there's an awesome sandwich recipe on the taste website - it has chicken, toasted almonds, mayo, some mustard & little bit of lemon juice. they're really tasty! i have done them in the past in dinner rolls rather than as a sandwich
mini cupcakes - mocha or strawberry (made with fresh strawberries, yum!)

and i'm another one who'd love the cob dip recipes!!! i've always wanted to try making one!

It was a huge hit Alicia! Thanks so much. It was lovely to hear your voice again too!
Chris was horrified when he saw me put spinach in, haha! Kept telling me cob should have bacon, haha - but once it was cooked I'm sure he ate half! It was delicious, and sooo easy!! Thanks again beautiful xxx
