I am pretty sure that, if she's not being stung directly, she won't be harmed. If she's swollowing them without the tail end sticking into her and the poision sac being injected into the skin via the stinger (sorry, poorly worded), I think she'll be fine.

My understanding is that bees have a little 'poision' sack at the base of their stinger (you can usually see the remains of it on the stinger when you have been stung). This poision is only injected into the victim by the force of the stinger ripping out of the bees backside...that actions pumps the poision through the stinger. The bee then of course dies because it's bum's been ripped out.

Maybe they taste like honey?
