Our dog did it everytime my mum fertilised her plants with horse manure... He obviously loved the taste and smell! The only thing that stopped him digging up all the plants was ... pepper. Not the cracked pepper, but the really fine powdered pepper. She sprinkled it over the plants and when our doggie sniffed the plants (to look for the manure) he had really bad sneeze attacks. He never tried it again.
This might not work with your doggie, considering she eats chillies!!!Maybe she won't even care about the pepper. Or maybe she will thank you for 'seasoning' her planties!
