We are currently thinking about getting another puppy.
Our last dog we ha for 9yrs, she was a lab cross (with big black dog, what kind is unknown but that is the only description of the father). And we got her from friends of dhs family.

This time I have really no idea where to start looking. Where to start?
I've looked at the local animal shelter (which was a sad joke), and checked out the RSPCA website, as we don't have one near by. We have one pet shop. I'm a member of an animal adoption fb page, but I'm not entirely confident adopting through it (rules are strict, they choose the pup for you and their prices are extreme for rescue animals).

Besides checking out vet noticeboards is there any other places to check out?
