Hi everyone,
i have left this a little late but i have to organise an activity for playgroup tomorrow, which caters for all ages under 5. Does anyone have any creative (i'll even take not so creative!!) ideas?
TIA
thanks trish - i ended up making some playdough this morning, and we also made some binoculars using cellophane and egg cartons. Will have to keep your suggestions in mind though
a screaming competition....
the mums won't like it but the littlies will and if they ever need to scream for real they'll know that they can do it.....
dachlostar - we would have been in trouble if we'd done that one today. The hall where we meet is right next to a church, and they had a funeral today.
We do all like to scream when we sing 'Row your Boat' though.
I know its a bit late but you may be able to use these at a later date:
Put food colouring in bubble mix and get the kiddies to blow bubbles onto paper. The bubbles pop and leave colourful patterns on the paper.
Instead of normal painting try putting glitter in the paint to get different affects.
The good old fashioned pasta necklaces always go down well with the kids as well.
Draw with candles onto paper and then paint over them with water based paints to revel their invisable drawings.
Twice a week! Your very good Kathryn! I have been running this one for a couple of years, and am now starting to take a back seat. I have that book, so i must find it for some inspiration.
spunkymonkeys - i'd forgotten about the good old fashioned pasta threading activity. will have to remember that one for when it's my turn again.
