Funmummy - no worries. It's good that your positive. We quickly realised after reading all the info (as you do), that it is a fixable condition and once we were over the initial shock of it, we were pretty cool about it. And really, the hardest thing was dealing with peoples stares when your out. Although it didn't help with the FLURO PINK cast she got given (ask for white or purple)....gez, they could've warned us on that one :) Anyway, my MSN contact is apsydoz@hotmail.com.

Amy, yeah my scan is on Thurs. Its only with the institute of ultrasound, so I guess I will have a few students looking at my bub. Hopefully they can see the sex ;) Otherwise the real one is the 11th May. Thankyou so much for packing up the girl stuff. Fingers crossed hey.

Anyway I better get going...boys to feed and bath.

I think the park at Broadbeach is a good spot..........like Gill said theres heaps of space there, plus tables & seats & shady spots.

Rachel is turning into a gym junkie LOL! I have just joined the gym aswell, i'm not as motivated as her yet tho..........only 3 days a week atm for me:D. Arvo meet ups r fine with me & i'm happy to drive up to Coomera. Wendsdays r the only days i can't make it as thats when Mya is at kindy.

Claire's little bubba had its legs crossed!!!!!!!! Little bugga lol so she doesn't know what it is. Her next u/s is early may i think.......fingers crossed for a little girl.

im in for tuesday, Anna ill tell ya on msn sometime whereabouts, if someone hasnt emailed ya already.
Gym- ha... i would love to be exercsing but then id have to be sleeping to be functioning in some sort of normal state.. go girls!
Amy- i saw those cute baby fishermans pants in a shop at byron.. $ 40- not gonna happen untill shes not growing so much... they are sooooo cute tho.

Yep you heard right, the little bugger had its legs crossed!!! and not only that, when it FINALLY uncrossed its legs, he/she put its hand down there and covered it! Whats with that!! lol. It has to be a girl being modest, or a boy playing with himself hahahaa. I have my scan with south coast radiology on the 11th May, so fingers (not legs!!) crossed for that one. I dont know if I could go through the whole pregnancy not knowing. Those little pink outfits are just so cute!!.

The park at broadbeach sounds great. Im up for anything.

Claire, owwwww sounds like a girl, lol That's my bet, all of my girls had there legs crossed, lol, Nate had his wide open, lol. Good luck
My news is that DH got both the jobs he applied for and we collaborated over both and he has decided to take the overseas job, it is fly in and out of Brisbane, 10 weeks on 5 weeks off, the money is obscene (which is always nice). It is only for a short term of a couple of years and it will set us up very comfy. Small sacrifices for large benefit. I am really happy for him, it is such an excellent opportunity for him and us as a family.
Uni is going great, I start prac next week for two Fridays in a row and then a month straight. I can't wait.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'd love to meet some new mums on the coast. Miss my mothers group in Sydney heaps. Can't meet up next Tues but will keep a look out for your next meet if that's ok with everyone? Wouldn't want to intrude though. Did you all meet each other from this forum or were you originally a mother's group?
Just a little about me, I'm 33 and full-time mum at the minute but trying to set up my own business. DH is a software developer and fast becoming a web developer with our little business ideas brewing at home. DD turned 2 in March and hoping to start trying for number 2 at the end of the year after I've done a "biggest loser" jobbie on myself starting with some energetic boxing classes :) ....did anyone watch the finale last night. Can't believe Chris won!!
7th Heaven, that sounds like a great job your hubbie got. Congrats. 5 weeks at home with the family would be something to treasure even with the 10 wks gap in between. What does he do?

Amy...... You're more than welcome and definetly not intruding. DH is an Electrician, We have only just moved to the Gold Coast in January from Tieri in central Queensland. DH is still out there working as an electrical supervisor with a Coal Mine and now he will be an electrical supervisor in a gold mine in West Papua.

I think down the other end opposie the school would be better. The park is bigger, its less busy & theres heaps more parking.

On a total different subject.....Mya is starting to go to the loo on her own now:D YAY!!

went and saw my frined at hossy tonight, she had her little man this morning at 4.40am. He was soooooooooo tiny and light compared to Eden. My how quickly they grow up and we forget!!! i felt like an old chook with Eden. haha

Bernie, New Amy, Sharon the Broady park is beachside opposite the Niecon Plaza/Broadbeach Mall, it runs along the beach. I think the part the girls are talking about is opposite the BroadBeach Sschool which is south of Niecon Plaza, there is heaps of parking and wonderful swings and things for the kids to play on.
