    PS
Just looked through the SE Advertiser and the mothers direct (divison of Australian Breastfeeding Assoc) on Sat 31st May. There is a free info sessions on at 10am (preparing for breastfeeding) 12noon( settling/sleep techniques and) 2pm (expressing and storing milk). I am going to that. Its 2a/26 Eva street in Cooparoo. Its open to anybody!

Personally don't know if I can even breast feed Yet! But it be great to meet other mums.

I won't be able to attend as I'll be working. Hope you get all the info you need. I have found a Mothers Group that meets on the Southside. Haven't been to any meetings yet. All the babies are around one year old but it might be good to meet some other Mums. Good luck with the next four weeks. Is it a boy or girl? Get some sleep NOW!!!

I went to the mothers direct (australian Breastfeeding Assoc) info meeting. I met a couple of young mums there and they had joined the ABA. They were happy about it and one them she also had joined the playgroup Australia. There is several meeting a week all over south side. So I am going to try that as I really don't know any young mums here and I have only lived in Brizzy for a year now!
I thinking I might set up a informal playgroup at my local park maybe Julyish or meet at a local cafe at Bulimba. There is a great park there too for toddlers to run around in. I am happy to to do it and my house. But our house is a bit of a reno night mare at the moment. What do you people think!

    Hi

This is a bit of a late post but I was just wondering if anyone found or started up a group in the Brisbane Central area??? I live in West End/South Brisbane. I have a six month old daughter and need to get out of the house and meet some other mums.

Please let me know if there is anything out there!

    Thanks

    Hello

    Hello,

I'm due in 5 weeks. So taking it very easy! Not getting out of the house at the moment as the heat is just too much for me.

I don't have any advice as it's my first but it's always good to be able to chat about things anyway to get things off your chest. Try not to get too down. Have you joined any mother and baby groups through the hospital? Or can they put you in touch with any?

I am happy to meet once my little one has arrived. I have friends who have recently had babies and are having babies, so maybe we can get something weekly sorted amongst us.

Email if you want to chat :-)

Smile I also need some friends with babies :)

    Hi All,

My name is Kylie I'm a 23 year old mum of a 9 week old baby boy named Taylor. I love being a mum but find it very boring being at home most days. I went to a playgroup this morning but everyone seems to be quite a bit older they were all very lovely but I'd love to meet some people closer to my age. I live on the south side at forest lake but have a car so can go pretty much wherever (within reason). Well hope to hear from some younger mummies soon.

    From Kylie and Taylor
