Hi, I live in East Ipswich 30 mins west of Brisbane and was wondering if anyone knows of or has a mothers group out this area. I don't mind travelling a little but not too far. My baby Matthew was born 4th May 2008, and would like to get together with Mums that have babies of a similar age. Do you know any around my area?

Hi, I live in Laidley & have a little boy that was born in April & are also looking for a mothers group around this area. Laidley is only around a 40min drive from Ipswich...keep me posted if you find anything or we could even catch up....

I have actually been going to a council ran Parents group at Ipswich Health plaza on Wednesdays at 10.30-11.30am. It is more of an information thing, than anything else. But great topics and speakers. Meeting a few mums that way. If you want to come along one day, your more than welcome. This week they are discussing first aid with babies. There are some really nice mums that go. Am actually going out for morning tea tomorrow with a couple of the mums I have met there.
Maybe we could go for a coffee or something one day though if you are up for it?

I was actually talking to another mum today and she said there is a playgroup that meets at Amberley area. May be closer for you. If you call Playgroup Aust, they should have details for your area. Hope that helps. Otherwise if you want to catch up, I am keen for that?
