They have gymbaroo in maitland (not sure how to spell it) I also know that there is parents as teachers in hamilton (there may be one out that way)... I'd suggest try googling them. Parents as teachers I would probably recommend more... they do mostly the same stuff as gymbaroo except its only $2 instead of $14.50 plus you get to make a toy and sing songs every time you go.
Recently joined this website as I'm looking to join a Mother Group. I had a baby on the 8th December 2007 and I really need to start getting out of the house more and meeting up with other mothers.
I noticed on the website there was mention of meeting up in the New Year. If you girls are still interested I would love to join you.
Hi Jane/Bella,
I go to a mothers group all the way over in port stephens. We met through parenting classes that were being run through our child and family health nurse. It might be worth checking with them if there is anything happening in your area. Another thing I can suggest is maybe Gymbaroo or they run Parents as Teachers at Hamilton school (they should be resuming in february). I'm pretty sure they both have websites if you want to look them up.
Mel.
thats nice and close
looks like you've got your work cut out for you there... was that 7 children and one on the way i counted?!.
I'm sure that you'll probably get the nurses from medowie go to see you after you have bubby so make sure you sign up for those parenting classes!!... they're great fun (mainly for getting to meet people).
Im a first time mum Living in the Hunter Valley Branxton area. I have a daughter whos almost 10 months old. I would love to meet other mothers in the area who would be interested in getting together, going for walks (is there any mothers groups in the area), going for a coffee etc.
