Hey, I'm a new girl! Just to introduce myself! (think I have spoken to a couple of you).
Have just moved to Townsville from England and first baby due in Jan. Am terrified!! Thought it would take me years to make some friends here, but its nice to see that so many of you have been in the same boat. My partner grew up on Magnetic Island and moved to England 5 years ago (thats how we met) and we have just moved to Townsville together (with bump!) Dont know a single person here yet! Have been following boyfriend round like a puppy cos I havnt had the opportunity to make some girly friends yet since we got here! But u all seem lovely, so hopefully will change and he can have a bit of space :rolleyes:
Your meet-ups sound like loadsa fun! Will have to come along once baby is here! What's lollipops?? lol. Did try and read through thread to get to know some of ya, but then realised there are 18 pages (plus part 1)!! so gave up quite quickly :) Introductions would be great!

Helania, feel free to come to the meet-ups before bubs comes along. We try to organise something every week or so, Always love to chat to anyone. Lollipops is a kids cafe. It has enclosed play equipment for kids from 1 years old so is great for the littlies.
i am a stay at home mum with a 2 year old and a very noisy 4 week old.
Better go. Something has died in Adam's nappy (or at least that is what it smells like LOL!)
Anna, let me guess, did they send you there too? yep, our house wont be ready till the 26th so we are staying at quest until then.
I do have a GPS on my mobile but having never been to QLD before this is a tiny bit scary!! I have only learnt my way around Adelaide by getting lost a few times. I still dont know much about the northern suburbs, but hey, they are up to 2.5 hours away from 1 end of Adelaide to the other!
I should be able to put the shopping centre name into my phone and get directions that way. how far is it from the quest? If i can walk it that will be awesome coz my car wont arrive till the 24th!! unless there is a bus that goes that way? The truck is coming and taking all our stuff up tomorrow so Next time I log in I will either be in the hotel here, or in townsville!

Brisbane has been good...the boys have snotty noses again and Wyatt is croaky and Zander has a cough..the days are warm but the evening can get quite cool. I am going to get a bit of shopping done this week...I have been hanging out 6 months to get to some decent department stores...ha ha
Courtney - I know what you mean about Adam being clingy. Wyatt slept the first 2 weeks on my chest and wouldnt sleep alone in his bassinet...he still loves being held at nearly 9mnths...even though he is getting really heavy!!!!
We have another 10 nights here.....Hubby flew back to Townsville on sunday...we needed a bit of a break..even though he misses the kids. Anyways hi to everyone, we will meet up with you when we get back.....

yes reading about new babies and birthing has made me feel a bit clucky.......but........I am enjoying the stages my 8mnth and 21mnth old are at too much to think about being pregnant....but it would be nice to be able to eat what I want again!!! :bellyrubs:

Brisbane was great, didn't get to do much shopping, but did get to catch up with the rellies. Declan even cut his first tooth while we were down there, which was the most exciting part of all. Looks like the second one on the bottom is coming up too. No more gummy smiles for us. :(
Will have to remember to pack socks this time for lollipops - I always seem to forget; damn baby brain.

Sorry I wont be there tomorrow, we got home around 8ish and we're knackerd. we had a great mini trip away without the kiddies, groote is just the most gorgeous place i have ever seen, for a minute i got a little funny because the only way of and on is via the small plane... but it didnt take long to get over once i saw the place, its very old but the atmosphere and the people are just amazing. real family orientated and all entertainment is free! It's looking really good for us so hopefully in about 8wks we should be there if it all pans out... the trip today though...arrrrr we got to gove and they stuffed our flights up so ben flew to darwin for a 4hour stop over and i had to fly to cairns for a 7hr stop over!!!! was not impressed but is our luck!
anyhow, i really hope everyone is well. have loads of fun tomorrow, im a definete for next week.

Well we are off to Rocky this afternoon so we won't be at the next 1-2 meets. After that the girls will be at FDC on Fridays so I won't be able to make Friday meets. If any other day is convenient for anyone, let me know.

Oh its such a shame that DH needed the car today i would have loved to have come :( Although luckily i didnt cause DS1 is so sick, sore throat, running nose, he even had a fever tonight poor little tyke!! He hasnt been eating much of late those silly 2yr molars moving...so we bought toddler formula to add to his milk and he drank it ok so fingers crossed it boosts his immunity :)
Oh i just realised my wee man is due for his 6mth needles......:doh:

So i have joined the local gym, Kirwan fitness, its great, im going to book a personal trainer next week just to get my program written up etc...so next meet up i should be looking slightly thinner...one would hope hehe!

shauna - thats great your are going to the gym, is that the one near willows? i looked at that place but beach house was closer for me. i cant wait to get back having pneumonia i havent been in almost 3wks! im missing it like crazy.
im up for wed, cept im morning because i have to drop dh at airport at 8.30 and i dont want to come back to bushy beach then out again, thurs im out coz they have started a playgroup out here in bushy beach im going to check out. be nice to walk to one and walk home again afterwards.
we put our car out at the corner of kern brothers and darlymple today.... gosh there was heaps of cars there.. no phone calls though :( if anyone knows of someone who would like a superb car in immaculate condition for 22g we have a black ve commodore for sale... we dont need it and i only use it when ben is away, plus if we end up in groote we cant take it there and we want to get a boat!!! so anyhow, be great if someone knows someone!
the twins are one in roughly 5 wks, 26th oct, ben is away working and i dont have anyone else to celebrate with apart from the ppl i met here on belly belly i was wondering if anyone would like to come to lollipops that day to help me celebrate their first bday....i need to do something on the day otherwise we'll just be home like any other day... thats when i get really upset about being here and so far from family.. if we were home it would be a huge thing.
anyhow i best be off, the twins are in major need of a bath and the older 2 are making a huge mess in the tent that they slept in last nght and want to again tonight!
