Ive just joined up but i meet some of you at Lollipops the other week. My names Kelly and I have a 18month little boy called Kurt. Hes a rather big handfull at times but we love him all the same :)
Just wanting to meet some other mums from townsville and really to meet friends too - since moving from NZ to Townsville in April we havent met very many people.
Im a Working mum, Working full time at the local RSL while my husband looks after our son durring the days. He is currently on a waiting list for the local daycare so we hope he can join that soon so my husband can start working again. We looking into police work for him.
Hope you are all ok and look forward to chatting with you all when i can, i dont get alot of time to go online but i try.

Sounds good to me. I am going back to work part time in a couple of weeks so probably won't be able to meet up on Fridays anymore. What a task trying to get him in day care!! I finally got accepted into Mt Louisa ABC. I have been harrassing family day care to no avail, and the other places i liked still aren't taking any kids. It was driving me crazy becuase i had given work a starting date, but still hadn't been accepted anywhere. There should be a priority if you are returning back to work.
Declan is able to sit up from lying on his belly, but still not quite at the crawling stage. Is this 'normal' developmentally?
Anyways, will see you all tomorrow.

Elise, Declan is progressing so fast. If I remember correctly, Cooper couldn't get into a sitting position from his tummy until after he was able to crawl but each to their own. Obviosuly Declan thinks sitting is better than crawling. Much easier to play with his toys. Smart boy!!

I went to Babies Galore today to see about a belly belt, nope none there and not gonna be in stock for THREE weeks!!! so i looked at the body pillows, $80!! I went to pillow talk and got 1 for $20! Thought that was a bit strange!

Yeh i bought one off those big pillows also from Spotlight when i was preggers with DD i only payed about $20 i couldnt get over the price off the pillow cases tho omg lol..
Baby belt? Do you mean the things that attach to ur pants to make them wider? They have them at Target, so try there also Toys R Us have a resonable range of baby belts etc

Lucas is starting to crawl YAY!! Lachlan is coming on in leaps and bounds with speech, thankfuly.
So how is everyone sorry i didnt come to the meet today i give my husband the car fridays :(
Plus we dont have very much spare cash coming up to lachlans birthday and christmas.
Still going strong at the gym, just keep reminding myself i will lose the weight eventually.

shauna, keep at it my trainer told me that weight loss doesnt actually happen til afew days after your workout and that fat turns to muscle, i never really believed him til ive dropped afew dress sizes ( a 14 top coz of my boobs! and 12 bottom) just got to keep motivated even on days you dont feel gymjo still go coz youll find it when you get there.
i probably wont be at anymore meets now, we go away in afew weeks for 5-6wks and twins 1st bday next sunday and then we move just after xmas. im still really excited about moving, i cant wait to get on with it and just be there already!
hope everyone is well and gearing up for xmas! its such a shock when you start seeing xmas stuff everywhere!

sorry we didn't make it on friday. Declan decided it was his nap time 10 mins before we walked out the door and slept for almost 2 hours! Poor thing would have been so cranky if I had woken him and especially not been in a social or playful mood.

Mine was pretty good! Did some shopping yesterday, went out and visited a friend last night and then popped into town for a little while to see another friend omg license= freedom! He He...and my parents are so great, they dont mind watching the kids for a few hrs (tho it doesnt happen much) im just so damn lucky :D:D:D...LoL sorry im jabbering on LoL...

I cant keep up with the post's atm!!
We've been pretty busy ben and i took a day for ourselves and went snorkelling out on the reef, it was amazing and i recommend it to anybody, its def worth the money then we headed out to paluma camping for the night which was great fun and the twins first time and they did sooo well. although brodie our rooster was up at 5 with the birds so a little tired atm. But my babies are 1 next sunday and we're really excited! Already on the transistion from formula to cows milk and doesnt seem to be much drama so far. We got through maybe 3 cans a week of formula. Its so costly.
Alioops.... what makes you suspect your having twins?? I knew at about 9wks I was having twins because I felt so much so early and I was sicker than Ive ever been. A scan at 12wks proved it to be twins, how far along are you now? Be interesting to know if you are or not. If you are having twins I strongly urge you to join the townsville multiple association, they are fantastic and the weekly meetings are fantastic for support and all that. let me know how you go! its a whole new world when you have 2 babies.. i always think on my bad days at least it wasnt triplets!!!
So how is everyone else??? I dont seem to be getting any response to my posts, have i ****ed everyone of by not coming to meets???

I suspect because there is family history of twins, at 4w4d I was already obviously starting to pop (I cant do up my pants already!!) Nausea has hit earlier and I think I am more tired than i was with either of the girls, and it's not that I have toddlers to look after tired, last time I had a baby already and was pretty tired but not this tired.
I did something stupid at Castle Town today. Our big double pram is really heavy and I was swinging it up into my boot and I hurt my back. It drills!!
Alioops.. well just maybe you might be!! Now Im looking forward to getting the results of your scan aswell ;) I started getting morning sickness at around 4wks and it lasted until i was around 18wks. We have twins on both our sides and noone told us so when we fell pregnant with the twins everyone was like oh yeah we were waiting for twins to come out somewhere!! Be nice to have known that earlier!!! I was fortunate though weight wise, I was no bigger than a normal pregnancy but on the bad side I had 2 6wk prem tiny babies. Hope it goes well for you, need anything Im around :P I love helping out others who have twins! If you are, just wait for the comments... we had one yest.. a lady said to my DH that the babies must be close in age.. he replied yes they are 2min apart!! Bahahaha.
Anyhow, I have 2 kids who need some tea and they cant decide what they want so looks like Im making the decision!

Emma the reef trip sounds awsome and i am so glad the kids were good camping, we drove up to paluma finally last sunday it was so beautiful and saw the camping grounds and are definately going to try go before dh goes away next yr.

Its been a while, and theres some newbies on here I don't even know!!
Telstra have finally connected my internet after 3 weeks of hounding them..argh..
I've just been busy with life in general. My wedding dress came a few weeks ago and was actually too big on me, so maybe its lucky I haven't lost any weight :(
Now comes the task of finding shoes (can anyone suggest a good shoe shop?) before 4th November, which is my last gown fitting before I leave for Newcastle.
I was going to come to Lollipops on Friday but Nick has swimming lessons at 10am so I can't make it anymore, which sucks!!

I probably wont make it on Friday. As you already know, the girls are in kindy Fridays. I have an appointment with a client aswell.
Well I started at the Gym today. Made a huge mistake! I did'nt eat breakfast so when I went to the gym I was buggered after 45mins. I was going to go for a swim and mow my lawn afterwards but I was too stufffed. So I came and ate something and feel so much better. So I will have to learn to eat brekky before I go to the gym from now on I think.
The workout was great though....

Meet tomorrow hey? Not sure if I will make it. I am going to get my tat tomorrow at 2.30pm so I'll probably just chill at home in the morning. I am going to pick up my Nan so she watch the girls for me while I go get the tat so we will probably just hang out at my place gardening and cleaning.
