Good Morning Ladies how are we all today?
All is good here not much planned was thinking about a swim at River Way today just to get out off the house for a little while!
Ruby~ i bet its stress full organizing a wedding and xmas at the same time, did you get your wedding dress sorted i remember you saying it was too big or something? So what date do you actaully say I Do??? Cant wait to see photos :dance:
Shauna~ i think ur absolutely crazy for driving to perth with the kiddies LoL i dread brisbane drives and thats only 16hrs :lol:, give me a plan anyday lmao!! Oh is the park on this week? Hope the kiddies are better :D

Mummy19 - Dress is all sorted, got it taken in last week & pick it up this week. Just need to go to spotlight now & get some fabric that matches the colour of my b'maids dresses so that I can get my flowergirls sashes made!! & have to pick up their lil baskets too :)

Blah - isn't it hot today! Yuck! Ruby, I can't believe your wedding is almost here - how exciting!!! Will add you on facebook also! Also anyone else, feel free to add me. I just had a nanna nap with my little man, was sooo tired, had late nights all weekend and feel buggered. So thought I might as well take advantage of the aircon in the bedroom and have a snooze also!! But, now that I am awake I have a pile of stinky nappies I need to chuck in the machine!!

Shellebelle - I wouldn't know about the weather, Ive been putting the aircon on at 8am every morning, not looking forward to my bill!! lol, I don't envy u in regards to the nappy pile, I do however have quite a large pile of clothes to wash too, really Ive been on the computer heaps today, avoiding everything I should be doing :)
I HATE PACKING!!!!! ARGHH.. Honestly who goes away for 6 wks with a toddler..

What are you all up to today?? I tryed to take Nick to get his Santa pics yesterday but he screamed! I couldn't believe it coz last time he loved Santa (he even pulled his beard off lol) but it was around his bed time and he had seen every kid before him cry so I will have to try again I guess. Well, I'm going to pick my dress up from the dress maker today (YAY!) Hope it still fits coz I have been cheating on the ol' diet a bit :)

Gosh my little man is getting up sooo early lately!!! Thank God for coffee! Ruby, It must be hard without a car to try and get everything done, especially with a bubba! We only have aircon in the bedrooms so have been feeling the heat! We got a pool put in recently instead of aircons in the house. Think they will be next though!! The kids are feral when it is so hot!
Tanya, how is your car now? That would have been so scary!! Far out!
We won't make it on Friday, bummer. I am working Thurs, Fri and Sat this week. Really wanted to come!! Maybe next week!

Xav is still asleep and Indy just went back down :dance: Our whole house is a/c but mum and dad can be tight asses LoL and we have a pool so were pretty right still bloody hot tho! And the car has been fine since that little incident so fingers crossed bloody cars LoL, pitty you cant make it friday :( hopefuly next time..

Well anyway not much more is happening in our house been sick lately:( just running noses mostly..and Ruby LOL we are going away for 6 or so weeks with 2 kids and we are driving haha!! you have it easy....hehe!! Hopefuly catch you before you leave biis!!

I dont think we will make it tomorrow :( Sarah has had a temp all day and Em has done 2 pooplosions so I think she has gotten hold of some dairy or something. I would rather not have another pooplosion at lollipops and I think Sarah needs a bit more rest to get over whatever is causing the fever.

I am I the only one worried about the storms forecast? One of my friends in Blackwater (near Emerald and Rocky) got badly hit by the storm tonight and all of Blackwater is power less and it looks like a bomb has hit it. I hope the intensity dulls right down before it reaches us!!

I am worried about those storms too, but I went on Home Page - Bureau of Meteorology and there are no storm warnings for us yet!! (I'm worried they will come Monday, when I'm due to fly out & then we will miss our connecting flight in Brisbane!!). I'm going to the shops after Lollipops to put together a cyclone kit with a torch etc. coz with all this extreme weather around u never know and I don't want to leave Tai unprepared!

We definitely won't make it today. Sarah is hotter and now she has a runny nose and cough to go with it :( Thank God DH comes home today. I have to go to the chemist and get more covers for our thermometer though sometime today, so I can keep an eye on her temps.

I hate having sick kids :(

havnt been on in awhile..had the mother-in-law come up last weekend which was good coz we got to go out...yay....next friday the 28th is zanders 2nd birthday so I will going to lollipops..hope some of you guys can make it...I went to lollipops last monday and it was good because there wasnt many people there

I'm not worried about rain, just we dont have contents insurance yet and I am worried about damage. Rain is fine on it's own but roofs blowing off and the rain damaging furniture and electricals is not IYKWIM.

we dont have any contents insurance yet either..I have been looking around but alot of companies dont cover storm and flood damage.

Our house is an old queenslander and has been through a few storms so Im hoping it holds through whatever is coming our way

Yeah see our place is only a few years old and hasn't had the test of a big storm yet. I am told it has been a fair while since the last decent storm. It can rain all it wants but I am not keen on hail the size of golf balls and strong wind!! But The positive of being a little way up the mountain does have me a little more settled. Dalrymple rd will be almost undrivable before any flooding reaches my driveway!!

Ladies don't stress lol I'm pretty sure the storm Brisbane is having will not affect us, we don't get crazy storms like that just cyclones lol!!And we don't get hail here either in the 20yrs i have lived in Townsville i have never experienced hail, especially not like they get!
I cant beleive use dont have contense insurance omg try Amii (or how ever its spelt) there awesome cover everything and are resonable priced thats who we were through and for a few extra dollars i was able to add our laptops, tv and engagement rings things like that! And i would seriously do it b4 cyclone season cause they are predicting its our turn to cop one :doh:

Calling the company our car insurances are with now. I need to see if they cover 'acts of God'

ETA: All done. we got multi policy discount and the yearly amount is about $500 so not too bad. it gives us extra discounts on our transaction fees with the bank too coz we do it through them!!

I got some contents insurance with SUNCORP!!!..they were the best. AAMI dont have accidental damage cover..which means if the tv or stereo get knocked over you are not covered (and with little boys we need accidental damage cover!!). Allianz dont do Nth QLD and GIO dont do QLD at all

our car is with AAMI so it would of been a couple of $$$$ cheaper so its a bummer they didnt have the cover we wanted

It all depends on how much cover you need, we got $40,000 cover and it was $338.00 per year or you can pay monthly for a bit more..and thats including accidental damage.

I ducked up to Willos this arvo to get phone credit and had Xav wif me i managed to get a pram park right at the front and when i came out and strapped xav in was on the phone so didnt notice the HUGE FUC KING SCRATCH up my door!! Im so ****e d off when i got home i was getting xav outa the car when i realized someone had keyed my car both passenger side doors bastards why would some1 do that??? Thats bad about the car scratching..we shopped at the willows yesterday which is not the normal shopping place for us..castletown or hermit park is....lucky no-one scratched our car..I would of been very upset and hubby would of been irate if that had happened to the precious Holden :o

Oh tanya, that sux. Some poeple can't handle when others have nice things. Makes me so angry. I was going to go to Willows this morning - but I do really hate the place. Maybe I will go to K-mart instead. I need a baby shower pressie and they have 40% off clothes - yeah, might head there!!! Hope your insurance fixes it all up for you.
I wish I could have made it yesterday!!! I am working next Friday also so I am out again!! I am happy though, our x-mas roster cam out yesterday and I have it off- yay!! I was expecting to be working so am rapt! AM working New Years though - but that is OK, I am too old for all that now haha!!

gosh its been so long! we are now in freezing cold sa! its so good to be home with family and friends. pity we didnt pack enough cold clothes though.
we arent coming home to townsville now, we're moving from adel to the island which im really rapt about, we dont even need to be at our house for the removalists or cleaners!
so im really sorry i wont be there anymore! i really hope you all do well and what ever is you all up to atm, and a huge thank you to the mates i made that were nice and decent enough to become more than just a person on a computer but friends.

Its Zander's birthday on friday..the big 2!! I cant believe it, time has flown by..my parents are up from brisbane for the weekend so we will be at lollipops on friday morning, will go first thing so we can get a good seat next to toddler area. I will have my double mountain buggy (you almost need a licence for it) for those that havnt met me.

Hi everyone!! I popped in here a few months back to say hi and introduce myself but never really kept up with things (slack I know!!). Anyway - I live in Cloncurry atm but i lived in Townsville for 20+ years before mocving out here. Anyway - DH has had enough of it out here now (i had had enough by week 3!) so it seems we are moving back!! YAYYAY - not until March though! but still!! YAY - if you have ever lived in Cloncurry you would know what i was talking about!
Anyway - I am going to try and keep up with you guys (you seem to be a rather chatty bunch) however I am sure you will understand that I can't make it to any of your meet ups! 9 hours is a long time to drive to go to Lollipops!
Anyway - my friends that i left behind when i left townsville have left or are leaving there before I even get back so I am hoping to meet some nice ladies. It will be hard for me to make meet ups when I live there too as I alraedy have a job when i get back and its full time. The hardest thing is looking for a placement for Caitlyn from out here!!
