There is some wild animal exhibit on, I saw an ad for it and I've had a few friends with older kids go through the hols and say it was good. Im really just going as I like to get out to different places. Matilda seems to enjoy it, she can walk around and there is a cafe that has high chairs where we eat (I buy a coffee and eat what I've brought from home). We went to Reef HQ the other day and Matilda has just got to the age where she was actually enjoying the fish and looking at them, it was very cute.
Emma, sorry to hear your not enjoying Tsv, I guess it is hard when your family is sooooo far away! I understand about the twins and not wanting to take them anywhere until you have at least had a child free day :)
Courtney, would be good to see you but if you'd rather go to the park or something I understand & I'm definately in for next Thursday. I just cant afford to keep going to Lolipops so if we can meet at a park that would be fantastic :)

The muesem sounds great. Probably do Cooper some good to do something different and I would certainly be interested. I can't say yes or no definitely as Ian has been given two days off (Wed & Thurs) as he has been working a lot of overtime on a family day for his squadron so we might do something as a family. Will make a decision tomorrow night and post it so you will know if I'm coming.
Emma, I know exactly what you mean. Being a military spouse means who are usually away from family and friends. Though this time it is Ian's home town so we have his family and some close friends. I hated Townsville when we first arrived, mainly due to being uncomfortable with the weather but slowly getting used to it. Hope you have a good day today in town.
Is everyone OK with the park on The Strand next week? Cooper loves it except when he is getting tired and cranky. I think he is getting his 2 year molars as he is not his usual happy self.

Ben has a interveiw for groote eylandt so fingers crossed he will get it and we can live together again, although on a isolated island hahaha...
hello Tanya and welcome.. you sound like you have your hands full..
thanks court, i just have some really bad days where I want to be home with family and friends, that and its becoming just a tad hard to go out with the twins as they are in a routine and when its disrupted it throws the whole day out and makes for chaotic times at night when ben is away ( which he left this am:()
I dont think Ill be there tomorrow, we are going to lay low so the babies can stay healthy for at least a week so they can go to day care monday, rori had her mag3 fri it went reasonably well she didnt take to kindly to being poked by the dr trying to put her iv in and not being able to move for a hour.. her right kidney looks massive so it more than likely has a blocked tube to the bladder... fun times...
nicola - sorry to hear whyatt is still not sleeping but its good your sorting it out, so fingers crossed you get some sleep soon. Good job on putting zander into care, that will really help you.
anyhow guys, i have a quiet time at the moment so i might chill on the couch while i can,
take care

Hey Tanya,
It's not to bad, it's worse when Hubby is away. I have Michaela 8, Callum 5, Brodie 8mnths and Rori (Girl) 8 months, im 27, nearly 28!! Live out at bushland beach which is sometimes tedious because I dont really know many people out here but the child care center here opened afew months back so I have a saviour!!
Where abouts do you hail from? Does your hubby go away alot with the army? theres a few army wifes on here, people always wonder how i do it but im more how do you guys do it!! haha
take care

Hi Tanya. We met in the other thread but here goes again. My name is Courtney, DP is Ian and he is in the RAAF. Cooper is my oldest and is almost 2 (turns 2 in late August). Expecting my second next month so August is going to be busy.
When are you getting your P's? It must be very hard to do anything with the kids with no car.

:hello: Court, thanks for the reply again hehe! It is hard not having a license when there is so much i want to get the kids (more so my son) involved in. And that i want to do also, i can go for my P's on the 6th or so off August! I cant wait! I just hope i have no probs getting em  LoL! Sounds like August will be a busy month for you hehe.
