How are everyones meets going??

I have'nt been going to any of the thursday meet since last year. To be honest i was sick of travelling to a different location every week.

I've started going to one at a mums house which was good. Has a bit of structure about it. It also gives you a chance to meet other mums and organise other outing with them.

I went to the playgroup on monday and noone was there. So I wonder if everyone is still around?

Hi Ladies,

I am the mother of a two year old boy plus also the owner of a new playland & cafe (Lollipop's Playland & Cafe) that is opening in Townsville. I thought I would just send you a quick mail to let you know that we will be opening at the end of the month. The shop will be one of the largest in Townsville with a seperate toddlers areas with their own jumping castle, ball pit and quiet area. There will also be a tea-cup merry-go-round, Play station area, 3 large birthday party rooms, push car area plus a large play frame for the older children incorporating a 3 lane slide, air slide, ball pit & jumping castle.

We will be offering mother group packages and play group activities.

I have moved around a bit through my husbands work in IT we have lived in the US, UK & Europe so I do appreciate the value of play groups & chat lines to find new friends.

Shellbelle - bummer about swimming! I feel your pain RE wool covers my mum hot washed mine ... then put them in the drier!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say that weren't very useable after that :-)

Lollipop's will be opening at Domain Central. We are aiming to be open by the end of the month (fingers crossed!!!)

We are just trying to tie up the loose ends can quite exhausting with my two year old running around the place, he thinks it is pretty cool.

Sounds awesome, I live not far from domain central. I am a coordinator of a playgroup here in mount louisa. Every wednesday from 9.30am till 11.30am at the united church on bayswater road. If anyone wants to join feel free to come along.

How'd everyone go with all the rain we had overnight on friday??? We got about 300mls up here at Hervey Range!

Some family and I went and checked out all the waterfalls and creeks up here yesterday. Its was lovely. I did'nt swim as i have stiches in my legs but i climed around on the rocks. Used muscles i have'nt used in ages and now i am all sore today! Great exercise though!

Letah - I might pop over to one of your meets one day. What is the age group of the kids there???

So are we going to plan a Belly Belly Townsville Mums Meet anytime soon???

I'm not sure that a regular thing would be the go since we all seem to have our own groups going. But it would be nice to all be in the one place once a month and get to meet each other.

Wow, thats really close to my house, which is good as i have to use public transport- i can walk there! do i need to bring anything? What ages are the children there,Tamsyn is 6 months, any near that age group?:o

I think we should try and have a Townsville BB meet-up at one stage! Would be great to put faces to names! Anyway, my boy is teething and is an absolute mess, we are going to be very unsociable for the next few days I think!!! Poor bubba, must hurt, he is getting the top 4 all at once. Peta and Sara, the age group is from 1 month untill about 5 years. The youngest bub atm is 6 weeks and the oldest child is 4 years. We would love you ladies joining us. When youcome just bring a piece of fruit or biscuits with you. Everyone brings 1 thing for the kids and we share it with the other kiddies. This way they have a nice morning tea. For the adults, we take turns to make morning tea so we always have something yummie there lol.

I reckon it would be great to organize a bbq!:D

Ok, so do you think we should organise a meet up!! What about the new play centre lollipop land or whatever at Domain that was mentioned earlier in the thread??? Not sure if it is open yet.. But anyway, we should do it!!! Any thoughts? Oh, the only day not really good for me is Mon. Also weekends are no good, but any other week day is normally fine.

a BB meet up sounds great - the only days not good are Monday and Wednesday for me but any other day is great
