Talking Brand new here and just found out im 5 weeks pregnant with my first!

    Hello everyone!!
Firstly i just wanted to say how nice everyone seems here, i cant wait to actually get to start chatting to you all!!!

Im 25, been married for 3 years and just found out after TTC for 3 months only (i think we were very lucky! - have a short luteal phase lengthened by Vitex, an amazing herbal supplement IMO!) that I am 5 weeks pregnant after taking one normal and one digital test and then confirming with my GP.

Initial feelings - super excited but terrified, im a worrier and keep imagining something will go wrong but im crossing fingers for a nice sticky baby!! Hehe

Its a pretty full on concept to get your head around, with everything that has to happen yet - i booked another GP appointment for thursday to just go over everything, i think ill do shared care with my GP - and as im anxious about everything then im going to try and ask for an early scan just to suss things out and see if alls okay, hopefully around the 6 or 7 week mark...

Ive been spotting very slightly for about 5 days, but ill get that checked out on thursday too, hopefully its nothing... i have heard its relatively normal but it does make you worry!!

Other symptoms, just very sore BBs and slight cramps, twinges in my tummy... and very very thirsty - i hadnt heard that was a symptom before though?! And more frequent trips to the ladies room

Massive congrats to everyone out there who has just found out as well, its SOO exciting and overwhelming and i just have my fingers crossed for everyone that everyones pregnancies go beautifully

Looking forward to talking to you all - the support on here seems wonderful to be able to discuss concerns and everything with people who are going through / have gone through the same things as i am!

looking forward to meeting you all!!!

    Amanda

Congratulations Amanda! Welcome to BB I'm Nikkie, 24 from VIC. I have a little boy in heaven plus many other early angels, a daughter who is 6 next month, a 2 1/2 year old and am 28 weeks pregnant with twin boys!!
Spotting is quite normal in early pregnancy and at any stage of a pregnancy doesn't always mean something bad. You will find a lot of ladies on here who experienced spotting during the early stages who are now being run off their feet by happy, healthy children.
    Hope you love it here

Went well at the dosctors, and thanks for all the reassurance!!! She assured me that spotting is normal, which is a relief, evern though there is still spotting i am not so worried anymore! She actually said that she had spotting her entire pregnancy so i guess i shouldnt stress! Hard not to hey!!

Mrs S, wow congrats on the twins! Im a twin, were identical and REALLY are identical!! Its very special having a twin, its like you can read each others minds! Not literally, but you just end up knowing each other so well!

Nausea is starting to be a pain, feeling very queasy all day! And so many foods make me feel sick just thinking about them!! Apparently thats a good thing though, having MS so ill try not to complain

Lovely to meet you all and looking forward to getting to know you all better!!

Thanks for the congrats and kind words
