I've been holding off posting on here today because I'm not getting my hopes up. However I have already let the girls in the Pre-conception Chatter thread know that I got a today

An unexpected, but most welcome surprise considering I was told I wouldn't be able to conceive naturally. Which is another reason why I'm not getting too excited just yet - because both my tubes are supposedly blocked I'm a bit worried about ectopic.

Have a docs appointment tomorrow which I already had booked to get my iron injection but it's going to turn into a "I think I'm pregnant" appointment

Anyhow, I couldn't resist telling someone as DP & I want to keep it quiet until we know everything is ok, so I gave in and am posting here. Still in awe and disbelief that I am pregnant

Just got back from the docs to confirm- she seemed very excited! Didn't have to POAS again, the 2 I did yesterday seemed to be good enough for her. She gave me a referral to have an ultrasound done specifying me as high risk ectopic. So I've made an appointment for tomorrow at 5:30!! Didn't think I would get one so soon.

The only bad thing is tomorrow I have to drink 1 litre of water between 3:30 and 4 and hold it until I get to the ultrasound appt I'm like a leaky tap, I can never hold for that long!!

Can't wait to see the ultrasound tomorrow though. Doc said might not be able to see anything but they may be able to detect a heartbeat, she mainly just wants to know where the embryo is at this stage.
