hi all i have just found out im pregnant with baby no: 3. I am about 4-5weeks pregnant going off of my last cycle.
I do have a question though, i am heavily overweight and the Dr said i should think about doing an excercise routine to help me during my pregnancy.
has anyone got any ideas on excercises i can do that will be safe and may help me lose a little bit of weight or even help with not putting on so much weight during my pregnancy.
I'm not really sure about exercises, I guess walking regularly and swimming would be a good start. Maybe chat to your Dr or hospital about what kind of exercise is safe to begin during pregnancy.
Congrats on your third pregnancy. Maybe we will be in the same belly buddies group except I am 4weeks today so you might be the group a fortnight before me. I am in the same boat as you. I have being terribly lazy and now finally I am pregnant but now I am concerned about weight. I am just in the healthy weight range but with both my girls I put on 40kilos (and now I am 16kilos heavier to start with) panick is setting in as I don't want to put on 40kilos again as then I will have 56kilos to loose. So I am thinking walking and swimming will be great exercise. I plan to start slowly (maybe just around the block to start with) and gradually when my fitness improves I will walk a bit further. And as of today I am only eating till I am full or not hungry. I have never being one to leave any food behind but today I only ate half my dinner. Hopefully I can keep that up eating well but not forcing myself to eat because its on my plate.
Congratulations! Sending you lots of for a happy and healthy pregnancy. Try to walk for half an hour in the morning and again in the afternoon. Even better if you've got a friend or two who will go walking with you!
Congratulations!!!
With the exercise definitely walking is the most easiest and affordable! Otherwise, definitely go for antenatal aqua aerobics and/or pilates. Both are brilliant.
As far as exercise goes - i guess walking would be good as long as you dont go overboard. Start out slowly and work your way up.
Swimming is a good gentle exercise too.
