Hello all!

Well I can't believe I'm here posting my BFP! I just got the phone call from my Dr confirming I am in her words "definately pregnant!". That, combined with 7 POAS tests of 2 different brands, is enough to convince DH that we are blessed with child.

Here's how it happened for us. January 2008 I got my Implanon removed to get ready for having babies. During Feb 2008 at DH's grannie's funeral it really hit home to us how ready we were to start our own family. And we promptly started trying for real. My cycles were slightly irregular but I used CM to monitor ovulation and had regular intercourse. In June I went to the GP to get a script for something and mentioned how long we'd been trying expected to be fobbed off with "you're young keep trying". But she sent us off a blood test (for me to confirm ovulation) and a sperm test for him. We were devastated to get DH's sperm results bad as they were very low on all fronts (count, motility and morphology). We worked out that his number of motile progressive sperm were only 1% of what he should have. F.S. said we would definately need IVF/ISCI to conceive. We were truly devasted as we never expected to be needing IVF at 26 years old. We've had two F.S. appointments and are currently waiting on gene tests for DH.

So last friday AF was due and it hadn't arrived by night time and I was a bit bored so I did a test. I was shocked to see a faint but visible second line. I got up early early early at 1:30am to do a second and third test also with faint lines. Only then did I break it to DH who didn't believe it. We worked out that we hadn't really BD'd around the time of ovulation anyway so there must have been some long living sperm in there! Sunday we did two more tests and another one this morning. I went to the Dr's this morning and sheepishly said "I think I'm pregnant". She said "but aren't you seeing a ... specialist?" I said "yes we were due to start IVF next month!". She said my collection of 6 POAS tests were impressive so I didn't need to do another one at her office. Off to get my blood taken and waited nervously all day for the call!

So that is my long winded miracle annoucement. We are praying fervantly for the health of miracle baby that he/she would grow healthily and strong and that we would trust in God over the next months as He has proven himself trustworthy in all things.

I have told 1 close friend and will tell 1other close friend but wait to tell family until 10 weeks. Only 6 weeks to go till we can tell them!
