i just found out yesterday i'm pregnant. i'm stunned... and terrified lol! it's not sinking in. yesterday i was all glowing and happy, and today i'm just... this feels like a dream. i have some names picked out already... what do you guys think?
for a girl: Aivlynn, or Draeka (pronounced dray-a-ka)
for a guy: Taivyn or Ozzy
my friend recommended a midwife to me, so i'm going to call her once i get my bloodwork done to confirm it. (i just took a urine test once i found out my period was late) i am in week 5 of my pregnancy, which means his/her little brain is already starting to develop!
haha i'm getting cramps like crazy, and my BBs are sooo sore. but i am sooo happy. i haven't told my parents yet... i'm waiting until thanksgiving. i'm 21 years old, and i have no idea how to be a mom! i have some ideas, but... any advice would be welcome!
Firstly may i say a massive CONGRATULATIONS to you both
We were trying to conceive for 2.5years ... and finally i fell pregnant
My first reaction when my Doc confirmed i was pregnant was not quite as i imagined ... it was more like " Oh, Sh@t i have finally done it ... OMG, what kind of parent am i going to be " ... I actually went into panic mode for a few minutes and then i started shaking with such excitement
If it makes you feel any better i was 40years of age pregnant with my 1st child & i had absolutely no idea what to do ... i had never changed a nappy (diaper) in my lifetime ... i had only bottle feed friends babies.
You will be absolutely great, don't worry okay ... hey i turned out to be a pretty good Mum (my daughter is now 2.5years) ... and i'm still learning something new everyday
Just learn to never ever put pressure on yourself ... just BE YOU ... You will do SUPER !!!
I told my parents on Christmas Day 2005.
I wish you the very best ... and ENJOY your magical pregnancy journey !!!
Big hugs from Lorelle
P.S - I like AIVLYNN ... ( my surname ends in LYN )

thank you guys! 2.5 years is a long time to be trying to conceive, i'm glad you finally did it and that your baby was healthy! what a blessing. my aunt and uncle took a long time too. you just never know, everyone is different.
i love kids, i used to work with them at daycares and babysitting so i know a little bit about them, but babies are still relatively new to me. i'm so excited though!
a little interesting tidbit, i think our baby was conceived on halloween. spooky, right?
