I found out this week that we are finally going to have a baby after almost exactly 2 years of trying.
I now need to find a decent doctor. Im so sick of the ones that treat you like you are on a production line. I need someone that i can trust and feel comfortable with.
My question is, how do i go about finding such a doctor?
We have not told many people (just in case) so asking certain people is out of the question. Im having no luck looking in the yellow pages. I just dont know where else to look so i thought i would ask if any of you were located in the northern suburbs of Adelaide I would really appreciate any feedback.
As for Dr's I had issues BIG TIME with my first, I found word of mouth to be useful and now have the best GP - although I have to travel 30 mins one way to get there - it's worth it for the level of care I now receive.
If you don't want to ask others prehaps contact a hospital where there are midwives and they specialise in womens and babies?? Sorry, I can't help any more!
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Sorry, I can't help with the doc either but I'm sure there are some members in here who will pop in and advise. I think there is also a hospital/doctor recommendation thread, you might want to post in there too.
Congratulations!! I hope you find a caring GP. I chose to drive nearly three hours to see my obstetrician during my pregnancy rather than chance it with the local GPs - and it was worth it! Wishing you a very happy and healthy journey to having that precious bub in your arms!
