Morning everyone
I have hit the 11 week mark.
I am feeling v anxious this morning and wondering whether I should feel a bit silly about it.
Yesterday I woke up feeling like a different person, no nausea, no tiredness. Previously I had been enjoying pretty much all day nausea, aversion to food and heightened smell and had needed to sleep 10 - 16 hours a day! My bbs were still sore but I have woken up today and even the soreness is diminishing! My discharge (sorry TMI) has also diminished to almost nothing in the last day or so.
I have not been bleeding or had any unusual abdominal pain.
I had a dating scan at 9 weeks and all was ok then.
I am due for my 12 week scan in 2 and 1/2 weeks.
This is my first pregnancy.
In reading the literature it seems that nausea can start diminishing around this time as the baby starts relying on the placenta.
I should add my anxiety has probably been heightened by a morbid dream i have continued to have which is that I am miscarrying.
Should I ring the obst/gp to organise a scan or something???
Please help - your views/experiences of this time would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Belinda.
If you are concerned you should call just to put your mind at rest, but it's perfectly normal for symptoms to diminish at this point of the pg and it's alo perfectly normal to have morbid dreams in pg. I had some horrors with all 7 of my pregnancies and my symptoms all faded between 11 and 14 weeks.
Belinda,
I also freaked out when my nausea diminshed at about the 9 week mark but bubs was still there at 10 weeks doing all the right things. Can you move your scan forward?? You should be able to have your first tri screening done anywhere from 11 and a half weeks to 13 and a half weeks. See if you can go at the end of next week some time. I'm going in on Wednesday and I'll be 11 weeks and 5 days, my ob.s actually wanted me in between 11 and 12 weeks.
Just try and enjoy feeling like a human again and if you need to go and see your doc. Hope you feel better soon-- I have an unfortunate history and I know what it's like to feel anxious. BUT it doesn't help and you need to try and have faith-- it is out of our hands anyway!
I also did notice I started to feel different around that time, when my m/s started to ease off. I too was used to all day sickness so for it to go away was so strange for me. If you are really worried though, call your doctor or midwife and see what they say? They might just tell you if youre not bleeding youre ok, but maybe they could give you some advice.
I'm sure it's just due to your hormones evening out a little. Symptoms can come and go and seem to do that whenever they like, it's not always a sign that something is wrong. If you can get it off your mind though, definitely go and get things checked out so you can feel better about it, peace of mind isn't a bad thing.
Hey,
My symptoms more or less all vanished at 8 weeks and i was terrified as i'd had 2 m/cs, but my baby arrived perfectly healthy 11 days late so it was obviously nothing to worry about. Try not to worry too much, maybe see if your scan can be moved if you're panicking and really, pretty soon you'll notice a tiny bulge (in the mornings is when i could see mine, by around 12 weeks) which i found comforting as bubs was obviously still there and growing.
