    11 weeks and spotting

    Morning girls,

I'm 11 weeks today, and for the last couple of days i've been feeling a bit off. Last night got up to go to the loo and had some dark spotting mixed with cm. (TMI warning) The cm has gone from wet and copious to thick and claggy too. THe spotting is still going now.
I've had some cramping the last couple of days but put it down to stretching.
Normally i don't even worry about all the little niggles but today I'm analysing everything.
I live in a country town where the medical facilities aren't like the cities ie they shut down on the weekend so going and seeing someone isn't really an option until tomorrow. My Dh has just gone away for the week (knows about this but doesn't have a choice) and I have an active 2yo to deal with.
I'm trying not to get stressed, but it's not looking great is it?

Sometimes you can get a bit of spotting around the time that your period would have been due or also from sex.

Kim, I know how worried you must be feeling and I know what you mean about there not being much service in that town on a Sunday. If you do go up to the emergency department at the base hospital today, you will get seen fairly quickly as soon as you explain what's happening. There won't be anyone to do an ultrasound there though. They will take a blood sample and check to see what your hCG and progesterone levels are doing.

Alternatively, you could call Wagga Base and see if they would do an ultrasound check for you today.

I'd say REST today, do absolutely nothing if you can. And first thing tomorrow, I'd get yourself checked out. Is there someone who could look after Darcy today for you?

Sending you enormous hugs and lots of and I'll be keeping you in my prayers today.

Dach I did work out that this would be CD1, so I hope that's something like it.

Kerry thanks hun, nope no-one to look after the Dragon, they're all at work or away today, she's been good so far, so I hope it continues.

    Thanks girls.

Kim, huge hugs to you in this stressful time. I had spotting with both Joel and Noah around the 8 week mark but went on to have a fine pregnancy. Same thing, it was arund when AF would have been due.

I am hoping that you can manage some rest today, try and take it easy. Pop on a dvd for Darcy, lay down and relax. Try not to pick her up too much. Hard I know.

Sending loads of sticky vibes to that little bubba

Kim, I know what a worrying time it is for you.
From most of what I read when I was going through the same thing it's really very common and chances are everything will be fine.

I really hope its ok for you.

Don't wait for anything, just get into your car with your child and get into the nearest hospital. I had the same thing with my first pregancy and wished I had have gone into the drs straight away. Unfortunately for me there was nothing to be done

Not trying to scare you and I am keeping everything crossed for you but I simply wouldn't wait. Even if the drive is 2 hrs I'd still do that just for the peace of mind.

Sending you lots of sticky vibes.

    Take care

I know it's hard not to hit panic, I did when I started a few weeks ago, it's normal for most women to have a small amount of spotting. Make sure you take it easy and get lost's of rest!!!
I spotted for 7.5 months of my first pregnancy and ended up in hospital 13 times! My daughter was born healthy with no problems.
My second pregnancy was fine with no spotting at all, my son was born healthy.
My third misscarried at 6.5 weeks and it was horrible pain and lot's of blood not spotting!
My fourth is still ongoing but with a start of spotting we're now going strong!
I've been getting weird cramps almost like minor period pain, the doctor has told me it's quite normal and not to panic!

Anyway what I'm trying to say is take it easy get lot's of rest, take care of yourself and get checked out on monday! I'm sure all's fine!!!

Trish, yep Dora's getting a workout, and so far all I've had to do is nurse her doll lol. Good little soul she is.

SaraJane I was hoping you'd see this. I hope so too. THanks.

Nae, you won't scare me, I'm a nurse lol, but I think that's worse. Generally I know there isn't anything they can do, so I'll do what I can to help.
I'll see someone straight away tomorrow morning..

Wow Kelly that's some history. Gives me a bit of hope. Thanks hun.

I want to chill out cos it's really not much spotting, just everytime i wipe, but the fact I feel obliged to pay attention to every twinge is driving me crazy.
Thanks so much for all your support.
