    5weeks Pregnant & Bleeding again

I got a BFP at 12dpo then that night I started spotting brown. It continued lightly for a few days afterwards then stopped.

I had my hcg levels checked at 15dpo & they were 493 (perfect) then again at 17dpo & they were 1087 (even more perfect).

Then yesterday (21dpo) I started spotting pink cm. Today it got worse & turned to red at one stage of the day. It's not in my undies, only when I wipe. It has now turned to brownish/black.

I had my hcg tested again today & they are 8347. They have rised a considerable amount so at this point in time I have to assume that everything is ok. I will get another hcg test next wednesday to be sure.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this???? I know alot of women experience bleeding in pregnancy but does anyone have a similar story?

    Hi Georgi

Last friday i had spotting - like you it was when wiping not free flowing and nothing for the rest of the day.

The next two mornings I had some dark discharge, which I assumed was dry stuff from the spotting, as I had been in bed all night, getting up in the m1onring moved it.

    I haven't had anything since.

    My hcg 4w1d 391, 5w1d 8489, 5w4d 14859 (after spotting) - so similar to yours.

My doctor she didn't think another blood test was warranted as the last one was still a good rise, and in hr opinion bubs was growing well - took me a day to accept this, but now I am ok and just going to wait until I have a scan in another week.

Yes any spotting is hard, I didn't spot in any of my previous pregs so this was quite a shock.

Let us know how your results go and stay positive

    Sam

Aww...I'm sorry Georgi, it must be stressful for you I don't have any experience sorry. But the fact that your hcg is going up nicely it excellent and it's probably just a blood vessel getting damaged as bub burrows in.

SJ What kind of spotting? I got brown spotting for a few days which started the night before AF was due (the day I got my BFP, 12dpo).

It's been like hardly there at all. Brown spotting, like I don't have to use a tampon/pad or anything, TMI!
But unfortunately I know AF is coming my temp went way down today

Ok.. I'm looking for some advice. The spotting has just about stopped. It turned very dark brown yesterday & has been very minimal today, however, after lunch, about 1pm I started getting cramps. Kinda like gas cramps. It feels exactly how it did at the time of implantation. I'm concerned i'm going to miscarry. But the bleeding has stopped. Has anyone had this before?

Oh Georgi...you poor thing...no advice but just hoping that you get another test and everything is WONDEFUL with your pregnancy!
I was really pleased to see your BFP so I am convinced that everything will be fine, stay positive. :hugs:

    Hi Georgi

We are worry warts aren't we!! I am worrying cos I don't feel terribly sick yet - maybe this time I will be lucky and escape really bad m/s - but of course that worries me.

re tummy cramps - cramps or like just uncomfortable "something is in my pelvis" kind of feeling?? I ask cos I usually feel that way until around 8 weeks as everything is settling in, with a bit of pulling type feeling. Is usually perfectly normal.

However if you are having definite cramps like AF type but without spotting, dont panic, just let doc know. There is so much going on in there at the moment.

I totally empathise with you, after a loss it is really hard not to worry.

PS Still trying to convince myself to wait until next Friday for scan and not go to docs on weekend and ask for another blood test LOL.

Let me know how your next test goes.

    Hi Georgi,

I've had a similar experience - and while I try to stay calm, it's very difficult!

I started spotting week 7 or so and I am still spotting week 10. It's a small amount, sometimes brown, sometimes red. There was quite a bit of blood after sex. I tried to remain calm, talked the boyfriend about how we were both feeling anxious (which helped). But what really helped was the US- the bub's heartbeat was really strong. The HCG levels are good. It was such a relief.

I also had a pelvic and the dr found a slight 'protrusion' on my cervix (can be caused by a recent pap smear) which might have been a contributing factor. But since I continue to bleed I'm not quite sure..have also had ever so slight cramps.

So I continue to watch and wait and worry (whilst trying to relax)...and hope the hell mother nature knows what she's doing! It may sound crazy, but I try and visualise my baby being born (after it comes out, not the painful bit)- and that seems to help!

Good luck- there's a few of us out here if you want to chat about it!

Thanks for your support everyone. The cramps are more than just pulling sensations, they are definate cramps. A couple of times they felt like sharp stabbing pain. I'm still feeling queezy in the tummy this morning. I don't know if it's nerves. I'll try to get another BT done today. I hope that'll put my mind at ease.

Cramps in early pregnancy are pretty common, and the bleeding can be bubs settling in well, or related to sex. Here's hoping that's all it is for you hun! All the best!
