    Thumbs up Baby Shower???

Wow, some of my partners family have conspired together to throw me a baby shower!! How great huh?? I thought it would all be up to me to do.
Don't women usually do their own?? And when are you supposed to do one??
I didn't even know if i wanted to do one.
By Christmas everyone on both sides knew about me being pregnant. And when we were given our presents, their was one addressed to "Cooper Bub" and it had two little legless jumpsuits in it (one green and one yellow, universal "we don't know what it is yet so we're keeping options open")
And yes, i got clucky as hell when i saw them, and now when i'm near them, i'll pick them up and look at them and smile to myself and think "wow, bub will be that big one day"
And then i've noticed that i've been touching my tummy constantly, rubbing, patting, or just holding my hand there.
Apparently it means i'm already bonding with my bub.
I'm so excited and i just want the pregnancy to be over, cause i can't wait to have my bub. 7 months is sooooo long!!

Oh it's so exciting isn't it!! Congrats on your pregnancy! My family have also organised a baby shower for me and my homework at the moment is to make a wish list to make it easier for people to buy gifts! I feel a bit cheeky and kind of greedy, but hey, they're going to bring gifts regardless, may as well be something I want! Most baby showers are held sometime in the third trimester. I will be 36 weeks when I have mine. I think it's common for friends and relatives to organise it for you, but if that's not possible, some women organise their own.

I agree about the waiting...2 months even seems so long to wait! I want to hold him nowwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! Although my Mum was saying to me last night as she watched my tummy doing all sorts of weird movements (bub was doing acrobatics) that she really missed feeling that once we were all born and to enjoy being pregnant while it lasts

    Sophie,
Its wonderful being pregnant isn't it? This is our first buby too and we have been blessed with a lovely pregnancy, Although I get moments of being pretty uncomfortable now I am still feeling great and on top of the world. I have been wanting this baby for quiet a few years now so I think that helps with my frame of mind. I remember being 9 weeks along and thinking it is so far away before I get to have my baby, but can I just say that it does seem to go quickly some how. I guess its the routine checks that help you count down. First scan, then 19 week scan, then 28 weeks scan then your on fortnightly check ups and now weekly and now I will have bubs next week! Then I guess he will be one year old before I know it!

Cherish everyday of your pregnancy and don't wish it away. We have decided on only having one child so this is the last days that I will be pregnant so I am kind of cherishing the movements and even the akewardness(sp) in a way.

My SIL helped me organise my baby shower. I had mine at 33 weeks and I am very big with baby and very glad I did it then instead of later as it was quiet exhausting even though it was great.

Mostly someone else organises the baby shower for you and you just tell them who you want to invite. I had mine at about 32 weeks from memory, you don't want it too early or too late!
I agree with the others about enjoying pregnancy cause while it seems to last forever when it is happening it seems very fast in hindsight.

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I had mine at 32 weeks! I didn't want to have it too late incase i went into early labour and also as you progress you feel so tired. So 32wks was good for me!

I organised mine only cos' noone else got their butt into gear and I like to be organised!! I did all the games and just got my sister to host the games for me.
And my awesome DH did the BBQ and food for us!!
