Today I'm 6 weeks & 6 days pregnant with my third little one. I've been bleeding since Saturday night/Sunday(at 6 weeks & 2 days). I had a scan on Monday that confirmed that my baby's little heart is beating away - so for now all is ok there.
Since yesterday my back has been aching all day - the heat pack has become my best friend! I haven't had any cramping & the back ache is constant(not crampy - I had experienced back labour with my first. This is nothing like that at all).
Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions other than panadol or heat?
Hmmm, the bleeding sounds weird. Where's your placenta??
I had really bad sciatica (on both sides!) and could barely walk for weeks. That subsided in the second trimester.
But, my back ached sooo bad constantly from about conception to the second trimester. I was a mess.
I'm too early in my pregnancy to have developed a placenta yet. At my scan my cervix was closed & they can't really tell me why the bleeding is happening, which is annoying. But if my little one is fine I 'll cope with that! I have another scan at 8 weeks so fingers crossed that all remains well.
The sciatica would have been annoying! I suffered from that down the back of my left leg around he middle of my first pregnancy.
I think I'm just going to have to accept that this pregnancy is going to be a bit of a bugger. Which is a shame because it will most likely be my last(unless DH gets hit on the head & finally comes around to having four - but I doubt it!) & I was really hoping to relax & enjoy it. Oh well, this is the hand I've been dealt so I'll have to just look for the joy in it!
