    Bleeding!! HELP!

    Hi Ladies,
I'm currently 12 weeks along, lately I have been having some bleeding, not much, enough so that I notice it on the toilet paper, I have had some minor cramping too, has anyone else has this?
I'm due for the doctor and an U/S on Tuesday but I'm really worried about this?
Can anyone give me some advise please?

Hi, sorry you are experiencing this
If I were in your position I would call up the hospital & ask to be checked (& maybe an u/s to check bub is ok & ease your mind) or just turn up at the hospital?

Keeping my fingers crossed that all is ok

    Hi Jo
There are a number of things that can cause bleeding in pregnancy. If the blood on the toilet paper is pink rather than red then this is of no real concern as it is usually caused by trauma which can be the result of having. Cramping is also not unusual at this point in pregnancy and is usually caused by stretching of ligaments and muscles due to your growing uterus. However whenever you have bleeding and cramping together it is always worth getting things checked out.

I completely understand how scary bleeding is during pregnancy.

When it is associated with cramping it is best to get checked out sooner rather then later, it also depends on whether it is bright red/fresh bleeding or old blood a brownish colour.

And another question, have you DTD recently, as sometimes it can cause a small bleed as well.
Take care and I hope you can get checked out soon xxoo

Big hugs for you. Can totally understand how scary it can be. I also had some bleeding at 8 weeks for 4 days and some bad cramping. Got it checked out and my doctor organised an ultrasound for me the next day. Turned out everything was fine and no one really knows where the bleeding came from. I think it depends on whether it's bright red blood or just brownish blood. Always worth getting it checked out for your peace of mind. I know the worrying did me no good and ended up catching a cold coz of the worrying and lack fo sleep. Hope all it well for you.

Thanks everyone for you support and experiences, I did go to the ER this afternoon once I finally got to see a doctor 6 hours later they said that it seems normal, they did bloods (which all came back normal) but I did not get a u/s.
Its been both red blood and some of the older brown blood, I guess I will have to wait till I see the obst. on Tuesday...
I did not really find the ER all that helpful.. they were really busy so I guess that I was not on the top of the list.
Hopefully that it will all prove to be ok when I get to see bubby on Tuesday...

I had some bleeding at the start of my pregnancy, I was also so so sick with morning sickness couldnt even keep water down so i went to emergency for both reasons. I had to stay 2 nights on a drip coz i was so dehydrated. Anyway they gave me an ultrasound just to check and all was okay and they were able to give me dates, i was 7wks 5days. They told me that you sometimes bleed at the start of a pregnancy when your normal period would be? something like that.

    Hope all is okay

Thanks the support guys, I decided to stay at home today and relax till the u/s tomorrow, still having some bleeding today and carmps.. I am hoping that its the breakthrough bleeding ( when your normal period is due) because it should be around this time..

I hoep everyone has a good day. xxx

Thanks for all the support, please if you go to the hospital with bleeding and they dont want to do an u/s please push for one!

I ended up back in the ER on Monday night, with sever bleeding and cramping, we lost our baby almost 2 weeks ago.

Please press for an u/s, I know that it wont change the outcome but you wont go home with hope that all is ok then to find out the following day that our baby had died weeks before..
