The guidelines are to avoid soft cheeses, so i think ricotta might be out.
I think its ok to eat if it is cooked though, but not cold.

Any soft cheeses are on the no-go list, i googled feta and ricotta, and most sites say to avoid it because of listeria

Yep, ricotta and feta are out. It's a bummer, I'm really missing them!

I was given a brochure from OB that said feta was ok if it was hot - can't remember about ricotta I just remember feta because I love feta.

With that said I'm still avoiding fetta but sure I will have it in something soon as I'm really missing it at the moment.

Just read on the web that if you cook things well it kills listeria so if you have it cooked really well it should be fine, which is a relief I love ricotta and spinach pastries mmmm yummo

That's absolutely correct. Listeria is one of those bizarre little bugs that only survives in cold places! Cooking until piping hot ricotta and feta and eating it piping hot is completely safe. Otherwise they are on the no go pregnancy list!
