do you need to see GP for nuchal fold?

Hi, im 4.5 weeks...my first appt with midwife is 13 weeks, but i think i remember from last time that i did an 11 week ultra and 11 week blood test (the blood test from memory had to happen at a specific time around 11.5 weeks) to get a downs estimate. so does that mean i need to go to gp to get a referral??

I saw a midwife at about 10wks, and she gave me a referral for the nuchal ultrasound.. So I had the ultrasound at 12.5 wks and while I was there they did the blood test for it. I didnt see my gp though, but maybe they do it differently at your hospital?

Depends on the hospital I think. My hospital didn't give referrals for this. So my GP/OB did the referral.

My GP gave me my referral for the 12wks NF scan.

My GP gave me a referral and did the bloods for the NT. I am solely in midwife care too at the birthing centre but my first appointments wasnt until 16 weeks so i just went to the GP and got the referral as it was easier than going to the hospital.
