SO hungry all the time! Please give me some snack ideas!

I have NEVER been so hungry ALL the time in all my life! I don't remember feeling this hungry with my previous pregnancies. I am hungry as soon as I am not eating LOL! I hate hopping into bed and feeling starving, it's so annoying!

So anyway, I'm going to go to the shops tomorrow to buy some snacks, but I've never been much of a snacker before - pre-pregnancy I can usually get by on breakfast, lunch and dinner and maybe a bikkie or two. So I have nothing in the house and no idea what to buy!

What do you snack on? I want some easy, but yummy ideas - sweet or savoury - healthy or not-so-healthy. I'm getting sick of cheese on bikkies. I can't eat fruit, it really upsets my already upset tummy. Can I eat dips? DH is going to freak out at the added food bill, but I don't care - I'm HUNGRY!!!

So please, if you could shoot some snack ideas my way I'll be eternally grateful

I found dried fruit and nuts always good. Nuts can be filling too. Otherwise fruit is always good.. or a glass of milk!

I hear you Trish! I've been so hungry the last few days.
Sorry if I repeat some that have already been said:

    Carrot/celery sticks with dip
    Raisin toast
Muffins - sweet or savoury, heaps of recipes on BB!
Pikelets - easy to make and the kids will love them too!
2 min noodles (cheap and easy!)
Ice cream or frozen yoghurt for a healthier option
English muffins with your fav topping ( i love them grilled with cheese & tomato)

Ooh, thanks ladies! These are great ideas!!

Creamed rice...mmm...I haven't had that in ages! I'll have to ring my mum and ask her how she makes it LOL!

You're right Kell, nuts do fill you up. Might go buy some cashews!

Sangie - Go the raisin toast! I had some this morning. I've been thinking of carrot sticks in dip, it would be nice on a hot day like today!

I'm going to read through all your lists every so often for fresh inspiration

    Any more ideas are welcome!

Thanks serenitylee - I really do like fruit, but I said in my original post:

I can't eat fruit, it really upsets my already upset tummy.
I have a hiatus hernia which means acidic foods (including fruit) give me heartburn and indigestion. I wish I could eat it, it would make life much easier and tasty!

    Eat up sista!!!

I've eaten nearly a whole packet of chocolate bullets over the last two days...that was good

I've been CRAVING the capsicum dip from Aldi for weeks but it's made from cream cheese and I think my ob says no cream cheese due to listeria risk Going to double check that at my next appt.

cold bbq meat from the night before! we eat inside but DH cooks on the bbq - it all comes in and is handled appropriately - i LOVE the day after a bbq - a cold snag or rissole will carry you through for ages!

umm, trying to think what else i've whinged for

    toasted sandwich mid arvo
if fruit is a drama, have you tried tinned fruit - so much less acidic
leftovers (nothin better than a small serve of left over curry or spag bol -mild of course!)
pasta with cheese (make it wholemeal, lasts longer)
steamed dim sims (marathon brand are good in the micro - easy) or done on the bbq - can't do fried!
keep a stash of simple stuff in the freezer too - i LOVE wedges with melted cheese!
boiled egg - simple, can cook in the morning and have it in the fridge

must away - food talk making me hungry!

I really, really love (infact i'm eating it right now) sundried tomato and onion tuna mixed with Phillie, between two corn thins. I pretty much have 3 or 4 of those every afternoon.

Or crackers with tuna and salsa and cheese Mmmmm

BBQ dim sims are fantastic - defrost them, cut in half length ways (we usually only half defrost them so they don't lose shape), then just cook them up on the bbq. some people drizzle the white side with soy sauce while they're cooking - otherwise you just cook them so they're nice and crisp - fantastic with Tom sauce! well, any sauce really, but i'm a fuss pot so it has to be tom sauce!

ETA - we're having BBQ for dinner - migth have to throw a few on there to start us off - yummmm
