Early scan tomorrow

Hi girls,
Yesterday I had my first Dr's appointment which was great to confirm everything. I asked to have a early scan because of a m/c last pg, I want to get some reassurance that all is ok. So tomorrow at 3pm I am booked in for the scan which I believe will have to be internal because I am only 7w4d, they should be able to see a heart beat shouldn't they at this stage? I am so excited can't wait to see the bubby.Will let you know how things go.

Just wanted to say goodluck tomorrow Westy! \/ I have my first early scan on Friday.You have to let us know how you go.Do they always do an internal u/s this early?I thought they just do a normal u/s, I'm only one week ahead of you and I'm booked in for a normal u/s as I've been told to drink lots of water before hand.Thats gonna be hard considering my bladders like a pea compressed at the moment! 8-[

Kirsty - I'm pretty sure they usually only do internals if you are less than 8 weeks.
When had my first scan I was only 6 weeks 3days along, but luckily the sonographer could see the HB and everything without needing to do an internal.

Hi Westy - I am a bit late to reply, but I hope that it all went well yesterday...I had an inital u/s at 6 wks and 2 days and they could find a hb - so I'm sure that it was fine...do let us know though!

Hi girls, our u/s was great first I had a normal one but they couldn't see a baby i was very stressed and thought this is not a good sign. I had to have a internal u/s and much to my delight they found bubby straight away, nice strong heart beat and going along well. Not as far as we thought I am only 7w4d now, not that that bothers me as long as bub is doing well.
Sorry it's taken me so long but our computer had a virus and we only got it back today.
