Could I be pregnant even with negative home tests?

    Hi Everyone

My partner and I had sex on two of my fertile days (right before my expected ovulation day), I am now 16 days late for my period and have tried 5 home pregnancy tests (2 different brands) that say that I am not pregnant. I tested the first 2 before 4 weeks after what I thought was the date we conceived, and then tested the other 3 over the weekend (being exactly 4 weeks).

When I was due to get my period I was getting all the usual period signs: sore back, very bloated, sore boobs, stomach pain but I was also getting strong pains in my lower abdomen and feeling very nauseous, and dealing with hot flushes. I was also a bit constipated. Today I am still very bloated - 2 weeks on, and my stomach hurts nearly everyday or every other day. I feel nauseous most days but havent been sick at all. I am also feeling like my body temp is hotter than usual (but this could also be down to my head playing tricks on me....).

I was wondering if anyone else is having the same issues as me, and if this means that I could potentially be pregnant or that something else could be wrong with me instead?

Also this is the first time I have missed my period for the last 15 years. My diet is still the same, I am exercising the same amount and I am not under any extra stress at work either.

Thank you for all your help, really appreciate it.

To be 16 days late I would say its very possible. Probably a good idea to go get bloods done to confirm/ figure out what's going on

I would go get checked out, to do a pregnancy test/ bloods and to also ensure there is nothing else going on!

    Good luck!

Yeah, it's possible. Might be a good idea to see a dr.

I would suggest seeing your GP for a blood test. I have heard of women testing negative on HPT's for months after conceiving when they were in fact pregnant.

Thanks ladies for your quick replies. I have booked in on Thursday to see my GP so I guess I will see what happens from there. Thanks again.
