    First U/S only some comofrt

I had my first u/s today at 6w1d. Although I was really relieved to see a heartbeat I only feel midly comforted by it. Funniliy enough my DH who up until now was pretty unhopeful due to previous m/c was really excited by it.

Did anyone else feel like this?

Maybebabie...that's great news seeing the heartbeat...

I've never had an ultrasound before (only just got my first BFP this weekend)...but I can understand your feelings...

I've got mine in a few more weeks...after so many years of trying, I don't think I will be totally at ease until I actually hold this little bean...

But I do think that one of the great things of being part of a relationship is when you are feeling down, they can help you up...when you're feeling worried, they can help allievate some of it...

Maybe this is just one of those times when your DH's excitement helps...

I do wish you all the very very best...and a pregnancy that is filled with joy and health...

    Take care chickie!

I completely understand. I had my first u/s at 6w, and cause I thought I was further along I had to have another at 8w to check for growth. All was ok so at 13 w u/s I expected to feel "safe" but then I got told about the 20w u/s when they "really" tell you if your baby is ok. And I know of a friend here in BB who had to wait til 27w to be "sure" and even then it was only when her gorgeous girl was born that she knew everything was ok. And now my boy is born I worry about whether I started him on solids at the right time, and about whether it is ok to leave him with my mum tomorrow night, and whether he will know to not get into a car with drunk mates when he is 18.....
