    When did you start showing?

There may be a thread about this already, if so please feel free to direct me to it. I would like to know if anyone started showing at all during first trimester and if so when? Was it only really you who noticed?

I'm 5 weeks today and my tummy is feeling very tight and a little bit like a bump I think but I'm not sure.

    Danni,

congrats on your pregnancy! I started showing with a tiny tiny tiny bump at 10 weeks but had a general 'thickening' of the hips and tummy area, nothing noticeable to anyone else but myself! I was bloated a lot during early pg too so this may be what your experiencing?

    Hi Danni

First of all, congrats on your pregnancy!
I started showing around 10 weeks, but it was only really myself and DF that noticed it.
It's only now that I'm starting to "noticeably" show.
    Take care

My belly popped at about 13 weeks this time. With my other pregnancies it didn't happen until about 17-18 weeks. This is my 11th pregnancy so I guess things are pretty loose and free!!!!

What you are experiencing is probably bowel distension that occurs in early pregnancy due to the slowing down of bowel action caused by progesterone. It makes you bloated and full looking. Much as before your period.

Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy...

i was about 20 weeks when i couldnt suck in anymore.
i was about 28 weeks before it was noticible to others in tight tops.
About 31 weeks when people confidently asked when i was due....
b4 then i just looked like i had gas or eaten too much.

I've only just started to show recently, at around the 19 week stage - people still can't really tell now, i've got to point it out to them and then they go "aaahhhh"

I think everyone is different though. DP and I could notice my tummy hardening very early on at around 11 weeks but it never really popped out until recently!

    congrats on your pregnancy !!

Im 8 weeks with my 4th pregnancy and have been showing for a few weeks now. I gave up trying to squeeze into clothes so am wearing maternity clothes for comfort. The more pregnancy's you have, the quicker you pop out i have been told.

I was bloated at around 8 weeks so I looked pretty pudgy then. I was definately looking pudgy at about 14-15 weeks but not actually showing. I started to look a bit pregnant around 17-18 weeks and looked definately pregnant around 25 weeks. When I was about 27 weeks the man at the post office told me I better finish work soon because I dont want to give birth at work (he thought I was due any day then)!!! And I wasnt even that big!

Thanks girls. I was kind of hoping I wouldn't have to wait that long
However, with what everyone is saying about popping out quicker with additional pregnancies after the first, my sister started showing with her first a lot quicker than with her second.

I showed almost nothing, standing up, till five months (my husband said I just look a little flabby). We have a pic of me in Dec, exactly a month before Lelani came and if I was not wearing a pgtop, you would not have known. I had very little fluid and a bad plasenta. Was looking forward at being big and pg.
But we had a "show" at I think it was 13 weeks. When I would lay on my back, there would be a bump to the left of my belly. I was extatic, I was showing. Told everybody, showed to the whole family. Turns out to be gas!!!

I started showing at 10 weeks with my first and about 12 weeks with my second and this one I noticed my jeans were tight at about 7 to 8 weeks, now at 12 weeks I have popped out noticably. I have a short waiste and I'm only 5ft (i sound a bit freaky )so when I eat I get full very quickly and that's when I really stick out, there's just no room for my stomach to go but out.

#1 - started to show to the outside world at about 10 weeks, I could tell earlier but I could still squeeze into normal clothes.

#2 - started to show at 8 weeks but only those who knew said it was obvious.

I am thinking now that we are trying for #3, I'd better get the maternity clothes out of the cupboard as soon as we get the BFP! Hey, wait on, what cupboard - I am still wearing them!!!!!

I have twin girls and had a belly on me at 6 weeks. That was the first inkling we had that we may have had two in there. It was confirmed at 8 weeks at an ultrasound that there was two little dumplings in there

Pansy, I'm wondering about twins too. My tummy for the past week has been quite tight and my HGC levels are slightly higher than normal for 5-6 weeks. I had a scan the other day and they didn't mention 2 but it could just be too early to tell???

I've noticed it gets alot more comfortable after 12 weeks when the baby moves up the pelvic cavity. Then all the other pangs come like heartburn and stretch marks.
