    Question a good moisturizer...

    Hi everyone

I was wondering what a good natural moisturizer for the hands/body is during the first 3 months of pregnancy?

What ever I read up on seems to be contraindicated or best avoided for the 1st trimester.

Also does anyone have suggestions for a 'safe' lip moisturizer?

    Many thanks

    Hi Tictac

To be honest, I don't stress too much! I haven't changed anything I use really.

Paw paw ointment's great for lips though, and can be used as a barrier cream for bubs bottom, or even on your nipples, so it's nice and multi-purpose.

For my body, I did fall in love with the Body Shop's spray on papaya oil moisturiser last pregnancy, because I had been using Bio-Oil for my belly, but I found the spray easier to apply (and much yummier smelling!).

This pregnancy, I'm using some Nutrimetics stuff here and there. I'm pretty relaxed though. I guess, for natural, the simpler the better. The Body Shop might be worth a look...they have a really nice cocoa butter stick too.

    All the best!

Anything organic or very natural should be okay. I like Jurlique, Paw Paw Ointment and anything Weleda. They are safe without harmful chemicals or synthetic additives. Their scents are usually minute amounts of essential oils. Actually, if you can find Tinderbox products, you can just about eat them they are so pure (but don't!). They are usually in the health food shops.

I used Tinderbox Pregnancy Belly Rub (easy to source here in WA) for 1st preg....though did also use Palmer's Body Butter for Stretchmarks. The smell of the Tinderbox oil helped me to relax, unwind and also uplift!?
