    Brown spotting?

I've woken up this morning with some brown spotting, I don't have any cramps or pain and it's not making it to the pad I put on, it's only when I wipe.

I'm freaking out now after having the blighted ovum at the beginning of the year, does this mean I'm losing this one too?

Hi Amanda - It's a scary time early pregnancy and every situation is different. Brown spotting doesn't necessarily mean that you are losing your baby, however there is no way to say definately why spotting does occur. Unfortunately you will just have to wait and see what happens. Try to stay calm (easier said than done - I know).

Have you had a blood test yet to check your HCG levels? That is one way to reassure yourself, if your levels are rising that is a good sign.

I can say that I had brown spotting between week 5 and 8 with this pregnancy and my baby is doing well and we are 15 weeks along now. Please take care and I hope that everything goes smoothly for you with your little one.

Don't panic yet dahl. I had exactly the same thing last week around the time AF would've been due. No cramps and not much blood just when I wiped. Apparently it can be something called breakthrough bleeding which means your hormone levels might've been slightly low around the time AF was due and a little has come through.

I panic'd big time too and was sure I was mc'ing again, but so far it's stopped and no more bleeding, cramps etc.

If you are concerned make an appointment and discuss with your doctor and get bloods done to check your hcg levels asap.

Good Luck dahl, my fingers are crossed for you

I spotted with this preg from 4 weeks through to 11 weeks, very worrying, but apparently happens in a large percentage of early pregnancies.

Kim yeah not to bad it seems to have stopped for now so fingers crossed. I don't think I'll go to the drs I'll just wait and see, still no cramps so I'm hoping that's a good sign.
