Thanks Catherine. Just noticed that you are having an elective c/s, may I ask why you chose that path?

Oh Catherine, I am soooo sorry to hear that, how terrible. I wish you the healthiest and happiest pregnancy and hope your life is always filled with hope, love and laughter. xxxx

Csab - thanks for your lovely post to me. Yes it made perfect sense. I haven't done a HPT for a few days as I know it's probably just delayed AF due to stress (last 2 weeks have been full on for me). I'm tempted to do a HPT but I know AF is probably just around the corner anyway :) It's lovely to hear other women are looking into their symptoms each month too when waiting for AF to arrive and yes it's so interesting like you said. ... I feel it's important to look at your symptoms, not read into them but rather look at them as a way of learning and reading other womens AF symptoms to compare. It's all learning isn't it....?!? And I think as long as you mentally prepare yourself to not get disappointed each time AF arrives, then you should be OK. I'm hoping that when DF and I start TTC we should fall pregnant within 12mths anyway as that is when the majority of healthy fertile couples fall pregnant.... however in saying that, we also know that it could take longer (if we have fertility issues we aren't aware of etc). But in the meantime, we don't want to think the worst and we feel we should remain positive, knowing it should only take a few months to fall pregnant....and it is hard not to think about it.
I think your question on this thread is a really good question.... so we can compare AF symptoms to early preg symptoms to try and figure out who gets what etc (seeing as my AF symptoms seem to be so much like some womens early preg symptoms and they arent in my head, other women get them too dont they.... Af can make you dizzy, can give you pains, can give you nausea etc and so can pregnancy)
When you want a baby so badly and are so excited, it's hard not to get your hopes up! And I think no matter what anyone else says, it's your experience, and your experience/s alone, therefore noone should tell you how you should feel or how you should try not to think about things etc.... because it's YOUR experience/s. That's what makes you who you are, after all :) And if you get disappointed along the way, have ups and downs etc, then it doesn't matter... it's all part of the experience of life.... it's the journey....
BTW - yep, I still have very mild, type cramps that i've had on going now for the last 6 days I think (?)and now and then a pain still in my right side (ovary area)... very different to anything I have felt before and it's not in my head either.... also felt very nauseous and was sick this morning.... hhhhmmm?!? Could just be AF.... either way, I just want to know soon!! Hormones are cruel aren't they? I wish symptoms of AF weren't so similar to preg symptoms... when AF is arriving it seems to make me feel so sick and tired.... AF is about 7-8 days late....
Anyway I hope you are pregnant!!! How are you feeling today?
All the very, very best with your TTC journey.... I hope it's a short one for you!! :P xx

I just wanted to say that there are many reasons why women might choose to have an elective c section... And regardless the reason factoring to me not wanting to experience a vaginal birth - that should be Ok and it shouldn't be looked down on ;) I am the same as any other mother.
-
Catherine - I hope I haven't offended, just wasn't sure if there was a problem and they have given you the option. Noway in the world would I put judgement on you, as if I become pg again, I know I could not go thru what I had been thru only to end up with a c/s anyway. I would be making sure they do another c/s on me.
-
Catherine, I agree. We have a few friends who chose the elective c-section. I think each person should make their own personal choice. Wishing you all the best ;)

Hi Csab
Mega apologies for the delay getting back to you. I bought some 10miu HPT tests from a site called babymad.com. I'm not sure whether the send abroad as I'm in the UK and then followed it up with First Response. I'm sure if you google it you'll find something closer to home. They were well cheap too £5 for 10.
Let us know how you get on.
(tons of baby dust)

Ellana - Thanks for that. I will let you know how everything turns out. Congrats again on your pg hun.
-
Csab - when are you due for AF?? Good luck with testing, i really hope you are pregnant!! :goodluck:
-
pressure is on for thursday csab!!!! haha...lets hope you see 2 lovely lines looking at you when you test!!!you are like me and wait...I hate testing early, only ever done it once and it just did my head it cos it was a neg...so now the rule is too just wait....
-
Renstar - Thankyou honey. I am due on Thursday for AF. Not sure if I want to test until then. Nervous about getting BFN. I know what you mean about AF making you feel sick, cause I get the same. It would be great if AF and pg symptoms weren't the same. Have you ever been that late before? I think you should test? How nice would that be if you were? I
-
Csab - first cycle after BCP's I had 47CD, then 31CD, then 30CD then 28CD now this long cycle..... i am not testing.... I will test in a week if still no AF....as by that stage, AF should be arriving.... judging by my cycles i should only be about 28-30CD so yeah, this is very late for me..... judging by the patterns previously.... how lucky would I be if i was pregnant?!?!!? :P
Anyway, i am waiting patiently either way. **Stress is definitely the reason i am late this time I believe **
Probably don't test until 2 or 3 days after your AF is due if you can wait that long so you aren't disappointed....
Good luck hun, thinking of ya!

Renstar - You are such a lovely person. I have to say, you are one patient lady. I would be so happy for you if you tirned out to get a BFP. I would be thrilled. I tell you what, being as patient as you are you deserve a BFP (lol). I cave in to quickly. Normally I get answers around 2-3days after AF are missed, but years ago before they were less sensative, I had to wait a week. I feel tho that AF is well on her way tho. Thanks for your kind words, I appreciate it as well. Hugs
-
Csab - awww. :hugs: thank you.... I suppose i've learnt to be very patient, i'm 26 and have wanted to be a mummy for a long time now and the right time for us has finally come around so i figure if I can wait this long to be a mummy, then i can wait a little bit more....I'm terribly clucky though, being 26, and waiting to TTC#1, I'm really, really ready. But at the same time, whatever happens will happen. I guess I just accept that some things are out of our control (ie when we conceive)....and I figure if I am patient enough, then it will happen for me :)
I wish you all the very best and hope your symptoms you are experiencing turn into a BFP. And if not, you always have next month..... :P
Keep me up to date!!

HI all - For me I know not to look at stitch pains as an indication of PG. My AF decided to come 2 days early. Normally a spot on 30day cycle. Oh well. Always next cycle. Thanks all and TC.
-
Awww Csab! Good luck for next month and sending lots of baby dust your way ;)

Thanks Catherine. Enjoy the rest of your Pg hun. It is such a wonderful feeling, when that beautiful baby moves around. It is so special. TC. Hugs.
