Blood and 5 weeks.. Scared and TMI

    TMI Alert

I am 5 weeks and today I've had a bit of blood show up in some mucus. I wiped earlier and saw one fleck of blood inside some mucus - not watery on it's own but actually inside the mucus. About an hour later I went to the bathroom again and there was nothing. I just went again and got some more blood and i'm kind of freaking out. I don't have any cramping but i've been having mild aches for weeks which I'd just assumed was implantation and the eggie getting comfy..

I called my OB and the MW said to go see my GP and get my bloods checked and an US if I can but my GP has finished for the day and I didn't want to freak out after 1 little bit of blood and rush to the Dr. But now I've had some more I'm a little worried..

Dr Google showed a few sites saying implantation blood but i thought implantation would have already happened by now so why would blood be around now if it's already happened. The blood was red but probably only the same amount you'd get when you blow your nose after a cold and see a little blood in there.

Experiences with this, ideas??? I know I cannot do anything to stop an MC but wondering if anyone can maybe put my mind at rest. I did not get this sort of thing with DD.

I remember having something similar with ds1 when I was about 9 weeks. It was a small amount lie what you described. I freaked out and kept the paper (!!!!) and asked my friend who is a dr. She Wasn't worried, i had a few more spots then nothing....

I have two very similar experiences, both occurred at 6 weeks, but both had very different outcomes.

With my very first pregnancy and with this current pregnancy I had a couple of days of pink tinged mucus at 6 weeks. My first pregnancy ended with my angel at almost 9 weeks, but this pregnancy is fine and my bub is a very healthy (and active) 23 weeks gestation. I was terrified and devastated when I saw the pink mucus this time around because of what happened with my angel's pregnancy and I went to my first Ob appointment on the second day of the spotting expecting the worst, but was overjoyed when I saw a little heartbeat flickering away.

Try not to worry to much because some spotting can be totally normal, and worrying yourself won't change the eventual outcome anyway. Take joy in the life growing inside you and I very much hope that everything will be completely fine with your precious little one ♥

Lots of people bleed for various reasons and are fine but I can understand your worry. Best thing to do is get the situation checked out asap just for your own sense of well being.

Hope everything goes smoothly for you. I had a little bleeding at 5weeks with my DS. I remember the horrible feeling like it was yesterday, you just feel so helpless. I know it's hard but try to think positive thoughts and get a good nights sleep. Hopefully you will get some reassuring answers tomorrow. Hugs.

Oh man, early pregnancy is stressful enough without spotting. Thinking of you and hoping all is OK

I'm not sure I would want an us at 5 weeks, it would have to be internal and I would want to leave any movement in that area to a minimal. I completely understand how you feel, and its so hard to say wait, but IMO , we just have to pray this little one snuggles in.

Lots of ladies bleed and go on to have healthy pregnancies. Bol x

just got back from GP after got actual blood this morning. Had a blob appear and have had a few more.
BT done but couldn't do ultrasound as too early so back for BT on Sunday and see what is going on. Dr said it could just be the plug has come out and said 80% of women who bleed still go on to have a normal PG so fingers are crossed but I was a mess this morning. Feeling a little more calm now.
