    High Hcg at 9 weeks

Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on high hcg at this stage of pregnancy? I had a tiny spot last week and the midwife sent me for bloods just to check the levels were going up. Well.. Friday my hcg was 285,000 and monday it was 275,000!! So of course my OB called me in for another scan (just had the routine first one) as he wanted to check to see if an eptopic twin was in there or something? Only one.. he then sent me to the proper ultrasound place where they did a detailed scan but as far as they can see everything is normal and measuring right for 9 weeks etc. I am worried as to why they are soooooo high though? Anyone else have levels like these??

So, did your numbers decrease? I actually don't think those numbers are outrageously high... Each pregnancy is different. I would let it go...

I had high hcg too. Wrote a thread about it here and here. Anyways, no twins and everything is normal!! The Drs worried me coz they were saying different things it could mean like molar pregnancy but you've already had a scan which showed everything was ok. Then they wanted to check my placenta and everything. I was annoyed that they kept stressing me out about it. It was still in the normal range after all, like yours is so I'm sure it's just normal for us, everyone is different.
Also, hcg levels peak at different times for different ppl so I think ours prob just peaked earlier. By by 13wk scan mine were back down to more average.
