Bleeding at 7 weeks...just a long wait now....

I've no question I just wanted to share this as my HB and I haven't told anyone of our news yet so I've no one to talk to but him!!

On Friday (which was my birthday!!) I wiped blood after peeing, it was red blood but only a small amount, I continued to lightly spot for about 24 hrs and had no cramping. My GP referred me for an ultrasound which I had the next day! It was good news as it confirmed my little baby was in there and it had to have been the most amazing thing I've ever heard - the heartbeat!

I've just got back from the GP now for the results and the ultra sounds shows the gestational sac is slightly irregular in shape and suggests the placenta has come a little bit away from the wall. Also baby's heart rate is slow! I'm now beginning to experience menstrual like cramps and when I told my Dr, well the look on his face didn't do much to help! I've got to go for another ultra sound in a few days to see if there is any improvement. I'm trying to stay positive but I kind of can't help but expect the inevitable! My god I thought the 2ww was painful!!!

Hopefully I'll find some positive stories out there.....

Fingers crossed everything is ok when you next have your U/S. Be kind to yourself the next few days, you're allowed to be stressed and anxious while you wait.

Well I had the worst nights sleep waking regularly convinced I was bleeding! I know I shouldn't but I can't help but torture myself by looking on the Internet! HB keeps telling me to relax but how can I when I'm expecting a loss at any moment! I just really hope it doesn't happen while I'm at work!!

Thank you for the well wishes!

Bleeding at 7 weeks...just a long wait now....

Hope everything works out for you.

My positive story is I had 1 day of bleeding at 7 weeks with this preg, very light but the blood was brown. And then I had about 3 days of bleeding at 8 weeks again brown blood. I'm 21 weeks now.

Fingers crossed for you. Hope you get good news at your u/s.

Thank you for that! From what I can gather I think I'm looking at about 50/50 chance! I'm just going to have to cross my fingers and wait! My god what a wait! My boobs are still really painful and I'm very tired and this is just a horrible reminder that I'm likely to lose my little dot!!

    GOOD NEWS!!!!!

Just wanted to update you all I had my follow up ultra sound yesterday and the heart rate is up and healthy at 139BPM, the gestational sac is much more regular in shape, baby is measuring the right size and the haemhorrage is very small, common and nothing to worry about! What lovely lovely news to hear and lovely once again to see my little 'dot' on the screen looking even more baby like!

Just need to get to the 12 week mark! I am so excited I could burst and am struggling to keep the news to myself!

Thank you for the supportive comments!!!

Great outcome. Pregnancy is such a scary time with all the unknowns. I hope the next 7 months are a breeze
