Hi Em,
Great news on the heartbeat.
When I saw mine for the first time at 6w 5d it was 110 so it sounds like it is spot on.
Also at 12w I had a pretty big bleed - it was pouring out - and I was sure it was all over (again) but bub stayed put and is still there 8 weeks later.
:stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy:

just thought ild pop in see how you are going. how amazing is it to hear their lil hearts beat.. lotsa :stickyvibesgirl: for you
Glad to hear the scan went well. Sticky vibes all the way for you - hope the rest of the pregnancy is smooth sailing
thanks for popping in to check on me, all is well have all day morning sickness so take that as good sign. have another u/s tomorrow so will check how things are going because still spotting
Good news, Em! FWIW, I had spotting throughout my pregnancy. Made me a nervous wreck but when the time was right to hear a heartbeat, I hired myself a doppler. I know the dangers of using it, but each time I had spotting, I'd put it on my belly and all that horrible anxiety went away and I could just relax again. I figured my constant anxiety was worse than the occassional use of a doppler!
Sending you lots of sticky vibes
Corelly x
Good luck today Em with your US - hope all goes great. All day MS is fabulous eh - let me know if you figure out any way of managing it!!!!
just popping in to wish you good luck for the u/s today em  and yay for all day morning sickness!!
Good luck today Em!!
No morning sickness today had me worried but went and had u/s with ob and yep growing nicely and a good HB- obviously got none of the measurements the ob doesn't do that. But yay I got a visual! But she wanted to do internal after the normal u/s and talk about feeling of being violated- i was choking back the tears and wishing DH was there! She made me strip in front of her (not leave the room like the u/s technicians do), ok so maybe she does this everyday but I don't! I find it very invasive and hard to deal with (especially since being raped in the past) so I did not cope well today. And yes I know I will have to be more exposed when giving birth but thats different IMO. Have an appt with the propper U/s people next friday so that will be better. Can't wait til Dh gets home I need a hug now.
Aww Em, big hugs . That must have been so hard for you :(. Well done for getting though it, I hope you get your DH cuddles really soon.
I'm so glad you got to see your bub though and I'm glad he or she is growing nicely :).
Oh  em.... great news about bubby but :protest: I can't believe she wasn't more sensitive!!
Oh Em! i am sorry that you had to go through that. I would also find that really confronting. I know that this is a vulnerable time for you, but remember that this is your body, your baby and you can say no, you can say, i would prefer some privacy etc. i know that it is really hard, because as you said they do this everyday; unfortunately it is always up to the parents to insist on being treated well which is a shame
BUT! on to much happier news...you are growing a beautiful healthy bubba!!! so so happy for you!!!! :happyforyou:
that's great news about the u/s
but :( about the ob. as cassius said, remember that you can ask for privacy etc. i know it's full on the first time something happens, but if you know what could happen, now you can be prepared to ask for what you want.
hope you get some great hugs from your DH later
Ah crap hun just seen this thread....bit late! Big hugs to you :comfort: especially after that last u/s internals are the worst.
Praying everything is fine with the little bean and the spotting subsides for you very soon!
:stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy:
That is wonderful news Em. It must have been so wonderful to see that little HB. Sending your little bubba some strong growing vibes. That must have been an awful experience with the second u/s. I agree that labour is something totally different. Stay strong hun. Big hugs to you xxxxxx
Absolutely fabulous news about bubby!! Hang in there gorgeous one your mummy and daddy can't wait to hold you in their arms. I'm so sorry about your experience with the ob. Maybe a letter of complaint??
Oh Em
It is wonderful news about bubba's HB getting stronger :0
About the other, aww hun that isn't right, I have had 5 cervical scans so far 3 in my OB's office and 1 at a US clininc the other at the WCH. Each time I got changed into a gown in a separate private bathroom, I was given a towel and told how to lie at the end of the bed. In my OB's office she pulled the curtain around and gave me a towel. And I have to say she is a lot better at it then the WCH or the US clinic, I found with both of those I had horrible cramping afterwards, but with my OB only minor cramping one of the times. I so understand how invasive it feels and something that really needs to be done completely respectfully. And with your background even more so
Do you know if they will be monitoring your cevix length at all throughout pregnancy, you could perhaps get them done through a clinic rather than your OB as they will have different protocols? I hope you can avoid the need for anymore or at least the minimum, I have plenty of the Internals to go, but after 5 already I am prepared for it much more. Take care hun and I hope you don't have an experience like that again :comfort: xxoo
awww sorry to hear about the internal :S glad your bubba is doing well tho thats good to hear :)
Aww  Em.. how horrible to have to go through that, i had an internal when i had a bleed with DD1 and i agree with the feeling of being violated, some people have no tact, she should have left the room.
So glad you got a visual and bubs is growing well...
so so scared right now- bleeding more, this time it's bright reddy/pink colour and more than spotting. I just don't know what to do.
   Oh em I don't know what to say, just that I am letting you know I am here for you even if it is just for a cyber hug
Is it much bleeding? If so just go to your closeset Maternity ER/Womans Assessment, I found that was the best place to go at times like this xxoo
thanks Beema- it's only when I wipe at the moment but soaks the paper, to scared to go back to toilet to check again. Dont have a maternity ER around here- the joys of a country town! Please tell me that things can still be ok even like this?
Can you ring the hosy and ask them, they may have someone on how can check for you, it is quite possible that it is some break through or bleeding from the cervix.
On top of what has happened with this pregnancy, lots of bright red bleeding, 3 major bleed and then on and off for about 5 weeks, I also bled for 2 weeks with DD and she is here making a big mess of the tupperware drawer next to me :)
I so know how you feel about going to the bathroom, I completely understand your fears, I still have them myself :comfort:.
Oh hun if I could I would make a nice hot cuppa, give you a block of chocolate and give you a big hug right now. Rest up lie on the couch and try to watch some crappy tv with a cuppa tea.
Fingers crossed the bleeding in nothing bad!
Em  I hope it stops soon. Things can still be ok... my sister had three pregnancies and bled heavily through the first two trimesters with both. Thinking of you.
Em - With my last pgcy due to a subchorinonic heamotoma, I had a heap of dark red blood pour out at approx 8wks maybe further along, I thought all was over, but it turned out that the SCH, was clearing up, and that it was the end of the bleed for me. Hang in there hun, I hope all turned out ok. Loads of hugs
