I'm scared, Dr wants to see me!

Great, was feeling ok and now I'm worried again.
The Nurse just rang from my GP's office to say that my Dr wanted me to come in for an appointment this week. She said she had spoken to the hospital about my BT results (I guess she was just booking me in??) and that they wanted to order some more tests to be done at my 12wk or 18wk scan. I don't know if she's talking about my hcg results which were high or if she's talking about my thyroid results which she ordered last time I was there just to check coz she said maybe that was what was making the hcg results high.
omg, I'm so worried now, my appointment isn't until thursday, what if something is wrong????

Maybe it isn't anything bad, but just some of the tests were inconclusive or they need to double check that everything is OK? I'm sure that everything will still be fine

I agree with sneaky sparkle - if something was really wrong he would want to see you now, not in a couple of days.

Looks like you will be getting a great level of care from your doc bella, he is probably just going the extra mile to take care of you

Sorry to hear you are stressed SJ
I had the doctor ring me in a hurry and tell me that I needed to come ASAP - but couldnt get in for a day and all it was wa to tell me the spotting I had was caused by a small tear in the placenta that would settle down by its self - so they tend to stress you out for no reason!
Fingers crossed it will all be good news!!

Is it possible to be seen earlier? What an awful situation to be put in, the nurse should of maybe explained things a bit more to you...

Please don't worry, I'm sure everything is fine!
    Take care

I'm sure that if it was anything serious they wouldn't have made you wait. it's probably just routine.

I know, she doesn't work again until thursday and is all booked out today. And it's my birthday tomorrow, can't I just enjoy it!!!!!!!!!!!!

What kind of tests are there they'd want to do at a scan?? I don't even know, only the down syndrome one.

12 week scan they check for everything.. so its hard to say. the down sydrome one is common but they wouldnt know if there was a problem unless u have had the down sydrome blood test yet.
They check for growth.. so mayb doc thinks ur further along than u think??

Sara-Jane - I know it is so hard after an angel to relax during early preg. I agree that if it was something to worry about you would be in there now.

However - having said that, I am not against a preg tanty/hissy fit on the phone saying how worried you are and ask the doctor to call you before she goes today just to reassure you - especially so you can enjoy your birthday. Any GP worth their salt will spare that 1 minute to call you back for reassurance.

I have the best DH. He rang the Dr's to get more info coz he didn't want me worrying on my birthday. Anyway, apparently it's not a big deal but the hospital just always recommends having the NT scan if your hcg levels are high because it can indicate chromosomal problems. But the Dr said not to even worry about it because it's very rare and is only one indicator for some people. She said usually it's an over the phone thing but she knew I was worried because of the last miscarriage so wanted to make an appointment so she could talk to me about it and also see if i want to do the test and get the referral.
Phew, I feel better now. Thanks so much for all your support guys

I was called up with the " Dr wants to see you line" during my last pregnancy. I had also given a urnie sample though and I had high reading of sugar in my urine. I know my results were because of the urine test but it is stil very nerve wracking when they tell you to come see them

I hope everything will be ok

Good job on your DH part! Give him a big pat on the back from all of us. I would have done exactly what he did, so you could ease your mind. I am pleased you have some piece of mind now. Good luck with it all.

Sara Jane the same thing happened to me,i went to my normal gp and as i have a thyroid problem too they did the routine tests, well when i wanted to go back he was off and i had this stupid hippy woman doctor who called me in and said it was urgent and i needed to see her now, when i went in she failed to read that i had a 7 year history and have had my thyroid removed and of course pregnancy upsets the balance of your TH levels,it will be a common thing through your whole pregnancy that will need constant monitoring, dont worry too much im sure its nothing too serious and go enjoy your birthday!! stay positive!!
