I'm sorry myturn, its a kick in the guts. It happened to me too, DH and I nearly passed out when we were told in front of all the family. I took it to mean I would definately m/c ( so did dh he admitted later) and that didn't happen obviously, but its so difficult.
I really hope everything turns out beautifully for you and your sister. Hang in there, its an awful time, and so unfair you haveto go through this stress. :hug:

Sweet lady, I'm so sorry that another hurdle has been placed in front of you. Right now you are in such a cruel place. The not knowing either way (aka limbo) must be horrible. I am hoping so much that the best case scenario comes from all this and like me your little one will have an instant play mate in a cousin born within weeks of them. you're not a 'horrible cow' for feeling the way you do - far from it. you just want a baby and to be a mum, and the ltttc road has been (and continues to be) hard for you. totally understandable that you are feeling upset at your sisters announcement. :hug: i hope that your scan goes well this week, i have been stalking you - as im sure all the other ltttc ladies have too, crossing fingers for good news. xx
I would and have felt exactly the same myturn, you are not alone with that. Pretending to feel something that you don't makes you feel so much worse too.
I am sorry this is such bad timing, but hopefully everything will turn out fine and you can both have a happy and healthy pregnancy together. Try to think of the positives like playdates after they are born :)
Myturn - my heart is breaking for you. I would have felt the same way! How could you not! This is such a worrying time for you and you want to be happy for her, but her news couldn't have come at a worse time :(

thanks lovely ladies... I am trying so hard just to plod along and get through to friday.... I have this underlying low level of hysteria that is getting me through every day, and I am keeping busy! Tonight is the first night I have not had anything 'to do' since the weekend - visitors monday..... (although my poor mother had me hysterical all night pretty much, as that was when she decided to tell me about my sister - and it was her birthday... :( poor thing!) went out to some friends last night - which was really nice actually! Should definitely do that more often! my brother and SIL is coming over tomorrow as well, which will be good, and then... then, it's D Day... then I will know more....
trying not to go into the panic that brings just thinking about it....
I cannot explain how important you all are to me, and how I would not have survived without all this support...

you know how it couldn't get any more ridiculous..... my brother just told me that my sister in law is 13 weeks pregnant..... I don't know whether to laugh or cry or freak out in an hysterical drama queen freak out!
at the moment.... I am just laughing... cause I am so worried that tomorrow is going to give me bad news - and yet I can't help but think everything is going to be okay!.... this is seriously ridiculous.....

This is so unfair :( does you're family know you have been doing ivf? You're stronger than me, I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut and not say something!
I remember my brother and sister in law announcing they were pregnant with number 2 on Xmas day in front of the entire family. I was so upset but put on a brave face. Roll on two months later when I was sitting out the back crying because our ivf cycle failed and my sister in law waltzes out and lights up a cigarette - I went mental!!!!

I did have warning with this one - as I knew they were trying (he told me in about May - and they have been trying for about a year - so I am not upset about it at all....) I just think the universe has some hilarious weird joke going on .... and I :pray: that everything tomorrow is going to be okay.....
no use being upset about everything - I mean.... people can't stop their life because I am trying - that's not fair! I'm actually really amused and smiling - if things go to crap the next 12 months are going to be hell on earth.... BUT if things go okay, you know what... it's probably going to be fun.... at some level I will always be a bit irritated... but in the end, as long as we are all happy and have healthy children it's fine.
universe needs to bite me though ;)
