Hi,
I have been suffering real bad morning sickness. all the tricks of the trade just dont seem to be stopping it. I was told to get a script for Zofran Zydis to stop the nausea, however on further investigation it actually says you are not to take it while pregnant.
Lived on it from 7 weeks and I mean LIVED on it. Its not as 'safe' as Maxalon, for example but yes, it is still safe. Zofran is more used for HG than morning sickness, so if you have MS and not HG perhaps look into the 'safer' classified drugs. Zofran is also a lot dearer than other drugs, we spend around $280 a week during my pregnancy.
Yep I lived on Zofran as well! I'm nearly 20 weeks and im still dying with morning sickness! Zofran stopped working for me after about 5 weeks and my doctor put me on phenergen, which is definately not recommended for pg women but it was the only thing that worked. Just to pre warn you - Zofran is bloody expensive!!!
I have a script for maxalon. Havent filled it this time round but used maxalon for my last pregnancy. Maybe ask for a script for that if you are quite unwell.
Zofran is commonly taken during pregnancy. I took it both Zofran and Maxalon but that didn't stop the vomiting. The only thing that helped was accupuncture.
Ginger ale, flat lemonade, motion sickness wrist bands just to name a few things that may help. Ginger ale helped me, and I never had to use anything else. Hope you start to feel better soon
