need some reassurance re: lack of morning sickness...

I am scared silly that something is not right, because I am not sick.

With DS and the mc, I knew I was pregnant because I woke up feeling nauseous a few days before af was even due.

This time around, I wouldnt have known if af wasnt late (even then, that happens a bit, I just happened to test anyway)

I get the occasional wave of nausea, but nothing like when preg with DS, ended up on Zofran, hospitalised on a drip, hyperemesis, used all my sick days etc, etc, which continued pretty much throughout my pregnancy.

My breasts are getting bigger, firmer, but not really all that sore.

this is just so, so, so different it is doing my head in

Even my GP was worried when I said I wasnt sick, she was all ready to prescribe me more zofran, because she says if I had HG with the first one, it would be very rare to not have it in subsequent pregnancies...
    Thanks Doc...

I am having a scan tomorrow, fingers are crossed that all is ok in there...

Please tell me your pregnancies were different too, DP is convinced I am having a girl this time around, because its all so different.
    Thank you x

I had almost no nausea with my first two pregnancies, and much more with my twins. Maybe it means you are having a girl this time? I hope the scan tomorrow gives you some reassurance xx

I'm still TTC #2 but I was having this conversation with my dear friend yesterday. She is due with #2 in 4 weeks and this pregnancy she had NO symptoms, no sickness at all... Not once! Quite different to the first one. All the best for a reassuring scan tomorrow xx

I had only one day of nausea with DS, my doc was the same, kept telling me up until the 20 week scan that something was wrong and for sure bubs would not stick.....

    Alas he was wrong!

Fingers crossed you are just having a happy and healthy and HG free pregnancy

No nausea at all with DD. apart from tiredness in the first few weeks which wore off, I didn't feel different to normal at all until I started to feel 'big'. With DS I was queasy from 5-14 weeks. All day, every day bleeggggh - fortunately not many spews though. I was moody, pimply, had back pain, reflux and gastritis. Completely different pregnancies and two healthy little bundles at the end.

All the best for your scan. xox

My reassurance is a little different.....soooooo, FWIW my HG started a little later this time around. With DD it started at 6 weeks on the dot, this time didnt throw up till 8.5 weeks. Dont forget it can all change in an hour, you might be fine now and then next thing you know you've thrown up 15 times You may also be that super lucky 5% of HG girls who only get it first time!!!! So many people get no sickness

I didn't even get any weirdarse cravings! LOL Try not to worry, not getting ms is jut as normal as getting it.

Each pg can be so very different. My firts pg had very little symptoms and was morning sickness free, but with my second pg I have had all day nausea for 11 weeks. Fingers and toes crossed to tomorrow's scan hun, I'm sure there is nothing to worry about.

I had no ms with either of my girls. Maybe we'll see if I ever have a boy if it's different! Although I'd bet on another beautiful DD.

    Hope the scan goes well.

I've had no morning sickness either time. With DD my only symptoms were sore BB's and tiredness. This time I had no sore BB's and had times where I wasn't as tired so would stress myself out about something being wrong too.

With DS I never really had MS, the occasional wave of nausea, but nothing really

With DD I constantly felt nausea, especially late in the day

Two very different pregnancies MS wise
